About the Artist
Since the summer of 1972, Chris Christian has had success in the contemporary Christian music and popular music industries. Over the years, Chris has been nominated for nine Grammy awards as a music producer, artist, and publisher, of which four won Grammys. He has been nominated for seven Gospel Music Dove Awards as a music producer, publisher and songwriter, while winning five.

Chris has over 14 albums released as an artist and a Top 10 Pop Single, "I WANT YOU, I NEED YOU", on the Boardwalk Label. Chris has also been responsible for starting the Christian careers of some of the best-known Christian artists to date such as Amy Grant, WhiteHeart, Marilyn McCoo, B.J. Thomas, Marty McCall, Eric Champion, Dan Peek, Luke Garrett and Mike Eldred, as well as the solo career of Steve Archer.

Mirrror Of Your Heart by Chris Christian.......2001-12-04

This is a very easy review to write. I have been singing the title song of the album for many years (Mirror Of Your Heart - if you're not sure). It is timeless and people love it. The entire album is not boring, it is entirely excellent. Chris Christian writes simple songs that in my mind are fantastic. Any albums I have bought by Chris have always been good and this one doesn't disappoint even though it is now quite old (1985). To buy this album is not a waste of money - I did not realise it was still available. If you enjoy good worshipful music get it - especially for the title track - I love it.

Listen! I have heard the song, "Give Up Yourself" for many years on our Christian station, W.D.L.M. a Moody Bible affiliate.When the time came that I was trying to find this particuliar song, I called all around the Christian bookstores, & several music stores, PLUS the radio station I had heard it on, & no one could find where I could obtain it & the lyrics. I finally after over 1 year was able to find it on here. Chris Christian, IF you ever read these, that particuliar song, spoke so deeply to my heart. The words were so appropriate for my minister here. He had had alot of different things happen here over a 3 year period. He remained faithful to His Lord, but some people in our church just tried so hard to discourage him. He did retire & I wanted to sing this song in tribute to his wonderful works he did. However, I did not find it in time. I had to write one myself. BUT when I did find it, I was able to send it to him. Such true & expressive words. The WHOLE ENTIRE album, is such a blessing. If the music on this album is "too old fashioned" to others who have written comments, it is a shame that they feel this way. For the message of Christ's love & forgiveness is displayed through the music. HIS LOVE is forever sustaining. Our vulnerability as humans, shows how much we need Him in our lives. For those who feel the album is "out of date" remember this: Hebrews 13:8 says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, & forever. Chris you have conveyed that thru the messages in your songs.....Need any more be said??? Deb Straub

Levels of Originality.......2000-08-11

I was disappointed to read Marcus' review of this album. True, if one were to review the credits, there are no original songs on Mirror, but that is only one form of originality. The Bibles Marcus owns are not original either, neither are mine, but they are useful. Chris' selections are original, and thematic, but more important, they represent a collection of lyrical formulas for the renewal of our souls, and as such are invaluable. Indeed they changed my christian life. His vocal deliveries are good too. Sure older Christians should enjoy these treasures, but better than that, we can too. I highly recommend a listen!

Not The Best.......2000-06-13

This artist has obviously never heard of creating new material. I have several of Chris Christian's CD's and they are basically all the same. If you like mundain, ordinary music your grand parents listen to then you will really enjoy this CD. As for the rest of the world - save your money. If you really want a Chris Christian CD to add to your collection of "flops" then buy a cheaper one because this is WAY too much money to pay for a coaster for your coffee table. I guaruntee you will not be able to tell the difference between them anyways.
