Q. Who is she ?

A. At the age of three she was third runner-up Little Miss Jabborwock in Hope, Arkansas. She sang her first solo at the age of five, at Spring Street Baptist Church in Muskegon Michigan, and by age nine was the winner of Miss Jabborwock in Muskegon Michigan. This was the beginning of a whirlwind of pageants and talent contests that would span two decades and five states. All the way from the stage of the Young American Stars National Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada to placing in the top fifteen at the Miss Texas Pageant in 2001, her musical talent has brought her many successes.

Q. What has she done?

A. She has performed as an opeing act for recording artists such as Aaron Hall, Kool and The Gang, Gladys Knight, The Gap Band, Men at Large, Jon B, and the DeBarges. All this before the age of 20.

Q. What is her style?

A. Her music is a blend of neo-soul and hip hop with a heavy infuence of rhythm & blues firmly grounded in the roots of gospel. She represents the full package of artistry and public appeal. She is a songwriter as well as a songstress who exemplifies a sophistication that will be a breath of fresh air for the music industry. She is:

A real long player.- not a collection!.......2001-06-18

Even by the end of the 1960's you had to be a special artist to get an album release on Chess records, as opposed to a collection of singles. This Little Milton collection, originally released in January 1970 was just that - and though the running time at 32.31 was meagre even for those days it's a great representation of Little Milton Campbell attempting to extend the range of material that he performed. It helped that the title track was such a strong song - even if this album contains the single rather than the original LP version of it.Just to confuse, there are other versions because Campbell re-recorded the vocal track a couple of times.Elsewhere the highlights are an excellent passionate version of Guitar Slim's "Things I used to do", a downhome version of "Blues get off my shoulder" and a version of Brook Benton and Brian Stevensons "I don't know" that rather upstages other vesrions of the song that I've heard. Some of it is less successful; his own part-written "Poor man's song" hasn't come through well, and the version of Aretha Franklins "Good to me as I am to you" doesn't come anywhere near the original.All-in-all this is Campbell at the height of his powers during his time with Chess getting to stretch out. Like a lot of the rest of the Chess catalogue it's disappointing that it's so erratically available. Certainly one to look back for from time to time.

THe song of the title menu sung by two women in the same beautiful style of THE FLOWER DUET from LAKMÉ by Delibes, is Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in G major for two guitars/mandolins , ADAGIO. I don't know who is performimg the beautiful song. I have been trying to find it in other CD but it seems almost impossible. can anyone help me? israelonofre@yahoo.com.br

I really need to know, on the DVD, what is the song played on the title menu? I've looked everywhere trying to figure out what it could be and i haven't had any luck. Please help!

bit late, but here it is. The song on the jukebox at the bar is "I'd Love You To Want Me" by Lobo. Don't look here for it on this CD, try his Greatest Hits albums.

An ok soundtrack.......2003-01-04

I enjoyed about five of the songs on the soundtrack. I was kinda disapointed though because there were a few songs that weren't on the CD that I really liked. So for those of you who are wondering the titles of the songs that weren't on the soundtrack, here are the titles and the artists: "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers, I'd Love You to Want Me" By Lobo,(Both in the 1972 segment)and "This Will be(An Everlasting Love)by Natalie Cole.
