I purchased this product for my expectant daughter, and she says that it is the best gift she has ever received. She, herself, finds the music very soothing and relaxing, and she is certain that it is wonderful for her child.

This is a fantastic product! I bought it to play for my unborn daughter and I started it when I was around five mos. pregnant. She moves all over the place when I put the headphones on my belly and I can even tell by her movements that she likes some songs more than others. I have done a lot of research into playing music for unborn babies, including the helpfulness as far as birthing positions when the music is played regularly. This cd fits the bill for all of the research I've done. It is completely worth the money!

Absolutely Love It!!!.......2007-04-02

I have a 6 month old daughter. I first purchased this CD when I was pregnant and would place my earphones on my belly for her to listen. I now use it in her room at bedtime and I absolutely love it. I have a collection of other CD's, but honestly this is my favorite. It is a very nice blend of songs. It is soothing for baby and parents. If you only buy one CD I would recommend you make it this one.

When I was about 18 weeks pregnant I bought this and two other CDs of gentle classical music and played one of them for her every 2nd or 3rd night, putting headphones on my belly. I was actually skeptical about this being "music for the unborn" but she really did react to this one much more than anything else I ever played for her. If she hadn't been very active that day I could always lay down in the evening with the headphones and play her music, and she's wriggle around. She especially liked #5 and #10. :)

She didn't seem to have much connection to it after she arrived, but she does enjoy music in general. (She's currently almost 11 mo old.)

I have enjoyed this cd thus far. If you have the money to spend, this is relaxing and enjoyable, however you can get similar music for free on your local classical station. So if you would rather save your money...just tune in on your radio dial. I am glad I bought the cd for the familiarity of the songs, but I also love just plain old classical radio.

I Dig His Playing.......2003-01-20

I dig His Playing can't say much really as far as His voice goes but His Foundation is very much on time too me.He is a Very Talented Player.you won't get the Minneapolis sound vibe here though.Dr.Fink comes out with something completely different here.

The Doctor Is Ultra Cool !.......2002-08-31

Ultrasound is jampacked with intoxicating, if not highly energized, funk techno-grooves. Some tracks have a hint of new age Vangelis/Enigma elements in the mix but not enough to slow the party down or make it an elevator muzak affair. Many who rememebr Dr. Fink from his days with Prince and the Revolution as keyboardist will try to look for Prince's influence...Forget it ! This is strictly the Dr.'s project. In fact, the only track that will vaguely resemble anything close to Prince is the last track titled Almost Funky (should've been titled Almost Prince). Fink's own vocals on some tracks are strongly reminiscent of a young Boz Scaggs ! There is also a bit of the Paul Hardcastle sound and Trance Atlantic Air Waves (an Enigma side project) that can be heard. Still, the Doctor has produced an awesome sound and project all his own !

Make an appointed with The Doctor!.......2002-04-30

Just how long have you been waiting to see the Doctor? Well it's been over 10 years since Matt 'Doctor' Fink left Prince's camp, having served as keyboardist in The Revolution and the NPG, but the wait is over. Ultrasound covers a wide spectrum of techno, technofunk and straight ahead R&B. Some tracks like "Ecstasy", "Cyber Monkey" and "Sonic Rave" stand out as great instrumental tracks ready to turn a club on its ear, whereas ballad's like "Night Flight" and Fink covering lead vocals on the title track and "Nobody Cried" (among others) all have their own unique flavor, but somehow fit perfectly together. Ultrasound, which houses a picture of Fink's first son Maxwell's ultrasound on the cover (headphones extra), is more than an impressive debut from an artist fans have long waited to hear from. Fink has worked production, writing, and even a long stint at K-Tel as special projects manager, but it's on Ultrasound that his writing, keyboard and yes singing talents really shine through. Extreme Beauty.......2005-07-28

One of last decade's most intriguing bands,Ultrasound imploded after only one álbum and an EP but left behind a marked willingness to push the envelope and expand the concept of song structure while rarely giving up on their exquisite melodic instincts.

Consequently we have side by side noisy progressions("Cross my Heart") and perfect pop songs("Aire&Calder"),power chord rockers to match Suede("Fame Thing") and what's possibly the most abrasive song ever committed to tape(the 40 minute long title track).

Extreme yet for the most part tuneful Ultrasound deserve to be remembered and rediscovered.

a (beautiful) whirl of distortion.......2000-11-06

Ultrasound managed to make a record which is at the same time cacophonous and tuneful. I'll try to make myself clear: I take it for granted that you know my bloody valentine (otherwise you wouldn't have made this far...). Well, their trademark, as you know, are the distorted guitars. Here too they take the lion's share but the songs are considerably longer and they build up slowly (while my bloody valentine plunges you amids the action right from the outset). Besides "Everything Picture" isn't as racous and disturbing as MBV, the music is more "tuneful", and the overall atmosphere, depite being as noisy, is more psychedelic... This record is likely to leave your ears shredded and (simultaneously) your mind numbed.

Gary Glitter's Gone to Seed, So Who Will Save Us Now?.......1999-12-19

Yet another of my purchases on a whim. This neo-psychedelic shoegazing band puts out a sonically beautiful noise that is at times early Floyd, white album Beatles, and even early 90's shoegazers like Ride and My Bloody Valentine. One should check out this limited version, as it contains extra songs, the full twenty-minute version of the title song (with a Revolution 9-like ending), and a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Best Wishes (a single of theirs from a few years ago). Other strong songs include the singles Aire & Calder, Stay Young (this review's title comes from it), Same Band, and Floodlit World.

An Epic Rock Record.......1999-08-07

I wholeheartedly recommend this album for anyone who craves long, patiently developed rock songs, diverse instrumentation, and music made to be listened to as a whole album, not merely as a collection of songs. While not absolutely genius, there is a definite talent at work here, and will certainly satisfy fans of prog-influenced modern rock. It reminds me a lot of 'Dark Side Of The Moon', only less focused.

If you enjoy this, I recommend Mansun's 'Six' (Import version, preferably), and Radiohead's 'OK Computer'. If you already own and love these two records, then you would do well to get 'Everything Picture.'

By the way, the 'limited edition' refers to the fact that this is a two-disc version of the album. The single disc version, as far as I know, does not contain the 20-minute title track. This song is really for completists only, as it is mostly distortion.

This is the only album I have ever bought without knowing anything about it beforehand, and I know now that there was some unseen hand guiding me to do that because this is, by far, the most incredible music that I have ever had the good fortune to lay hands and ears on. An absolute ecstasy of progressive rock, so rich in sheer diversity and depth of sound and so raw that it makes you want to reach out and grab somebody off the street and tie them to a chair in your house to force them to listen to it. The songs are absolutely magnificent. They pick you up gently and slowly accelerate you into a seething storm of vocals and instruments. If you don't get this album then you consign yourself to the invisible cage of complacency - buy it NOW, not doing so is really not an option.

This CD is very very good. Hospital does a lot of stuff with London Elektricity and they are very good together. If you are a fan of Drum 'n Bass, you need this CD.
