Editorial Reviews
This Is the Remix shows just why Destiny's Child is such a powerhouse: they have wicked songs that can survive almost any treatment. Not that the selections, culled from the group's three preceding albums, are mishandled here. The Neptunes aren't quite at the top of their game on "Emotion," but Timbaland's sexy remix of "Say My Name" is one of the best things he's done--and that's saying a lot. Despite too many rap interludes, the CD ends on a high note with feverish Maurice Joshua mixes of "Jumpin', Jumpin'," "Bills, Bills, Bills," and "So Good" that are simply fantastic dance-floor burners. The one misstep is the tucked-away "Heard a Word," a track from Michelle Williams's solo album. Still, this is state-of-the-art mainstream R&B designed to tide fans over until the triumvirate goes back to the studio together. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

This is the remix!.......2007-07-06
As a fan, I bought almost every maxi-single they ever came out with and I played them out. When Destiny's Child did remixes, they did them all the way. They re-recorded vocals, wrote new lyrics, and in the case of the Timbaland Remix of "Say My Name," they would create a completely different song. So when I heard they were coming out with a remix album, I was ecstatic.
Even though I already have most of these remixes (and even a few album tracks) on CD already, I'm glad that they compiled the best on one disc. And the amazing Neptunes Remix of "Emotions" was worth the purhcase alone for me. This remix album is an overall enjoyable experience and I still listen to it all of the time.

Great remixes but missing something.......2004-11-03
Excellent but needs more...........2004-10-29
dont get me wrong.. this is one of my favourites by DC3...
my favourite song on here is "dot" the original was not that appealing at all until i heard the remix... this song is a constant in my cd changer in the car...
other car bangers "emotions" (neptunes), "bug-a-boo" (refugee remix) "no, no, no" (extended) w/ wyclef and "jumpin jumpin" (so so def).
I am not feelin the 'survivor' (extended) because 1. not extended at all, 2. da brat is not rapping as good in it, and 3. michelle's part is cut out of it (her part in 'survivor' is the best in the whole song). also, the 'so good' is not all that great. 'independent woman pt. 2' is the worst song DC has ever put out.
overall this cd is alright but most of the remixes are great, and most of all of them suck...
3.5= very average

For die hard Nas fans only! (2.5/5).......2006-03-27
The only remix here that really significantly improves over the original is the "Life's a B**ch" Arsenal mix on this EP. Nas and AZ's verses are left unchanged, and instead of the toned down, slow beat on the original, there is a faster, saxophone laced beat. The "One Love" mix has a more defined bassline and vocals during the chorus, it's actually nice to hear. "It Ain't Hard to Tell" sounds very different than the original and is not worth listening to because it's not even close to as good. The "Street Dreams" remix is a little better than the original, but I didn't like the original that much anyway, and it still reflects that awkward period of Nas's career. The "Affirmative Action" remix is very unimpressive, replacing the original beat with a very tired and played-out old school piano line that we've all heard before. The "One Mic" remix isn't good either because except for the slightly sped-up drum pattern, it's virtually indistinguishable from the original.
The bottom line is that if you're a die hard Nas fan, you might find value to having these remixes in your collection, but otherwise I would not recommend it. That said, Nas is maybe the greatest hip hop lyricist ever and any music that is graced with his verses is worth listening to at least once. Newer fans should buy any one of his classic LPs before this.

Product Description
This beautiful package is a multi-panel digipak layout containing Ehron Vonallen's album "Incarnation" w/ a special edition CD of the songs reinvented and a 12-page booklet. The music is deep, intense and ingeniously constructed. Mark Vail - Keyboard Mag Ehron Vonallen's debut album, created on a budget of a major label act with over a year's worth of studio time to perfect every sound in every song, this release was never intended to make a killing in profit. It was created with the true music fan in mind. Containing numerous styles of music from song to song, it's almost like listening to a soundtrack more so than an album. Although it keeps a song based orientation with the same singer throughout with occassional guest vocalists to add to the mystery. And it's not just the music, the artwork and packaging of this album is worth the investment in itself. Beautiful art layout by the great John Hall in the vein of Delerium's elegant style and taste for album covers, this album would definitely look perfect on display. The remix album is technically not "remixes". They are reinventions of the original songs. Most have completely different music but with the same vocals. It's basically like having 2 different versions of the album "Incarnation".Customer Reviews:

Album Description
After years of creating great music and working with some of R&B's best known names; like platinum selling Jill Scott and Columbia recording artist Vivian Green, producer/writer/performer Fred David Kenney, Jr. is taking center stage with his debut release, "My Life... a Jesus Remix".This debut carves out a unique place in today's Gospel and Contemporary Christian market. A dynamic combination of song & spoken word, these musical combinations echo a laid back R&B, neo-classical feel entwined with a Philly funk foundation. Completed by a canvas of Jazz inspired cords and classical string lines this ensemble fits best in its OWN category this is truly "Christian Soul" at its VERY best!
Influenced by those spirited sounds of a melodic Philadelphia, this head-nodding harmony is, most importantly, doctrine-driven teaching God's word in a manner far beyond typical praise and worship. Virtually every key verse and phrase is accompanied by a relevant Bible passage. Music enthusiasts (with a Bible and this CD) are exposed to God's word in proper context and in depth Bible concentration all wrapped up in the laid-back grooves our airwaves readily embrace. By incorporating essential Christian doctrine with praise and worship, this CD has all the makings of a Bible study in concert! "From song #1 to the last it's a ride for the listener. If you want to grow in your knowledge of God and strengthen your walk why not do it to a tune you can groove to?" And even if that's not your main objective at the very least you'll find yourself intrigued by the message in the music, wondering just what this walk is all about!
