Cynical types will accuse Disney of milking the "greatest" concept until it's drier than Tinkerbell's fairy dust ("Supercalafragilisticexpealidocious," "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da," and "Heigh Ho" were hits off of Vol. 1; "Bare Necessities," "It's a Small World," and "Some Day My Prince Will Come" stole the show on Vol. 2), but a glimpse of this installment's track listing is all it'll take to squash their suspicions. Once again running reverse-chronologically, Vol. 3 opens with Jonatha Brooke's gorgeously achy ballad "I'll Try," from 2002's arguably not-so-great Return to Neverland, and gradually reaches back through the years to re-raise the curtain on Toy Story 2 ("When She Loved Me," performed by Sarah McLachlan), The Lion King ("Can You Feel the Love Tonight"), Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews's classic "A Spoonful of Sugar"), Pinocchio ("Give a Little Whistle"), and a bundle of treasured others, bottoming out at 1933's "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" from The Three Little Pigs. Vol. 3 is not without its weak moments--would a G-rated movie-goers' poll produce Beauty and the Beast's "Gaston" or The Hunchback of Notre Dame's "Topsy Turvy" on a hits list? Seems unlikely. Still, the bulk of these tracks are, as the included Little Mermaid song goes, "Part of Your World," and the spread of decades they represent proves their staying power. Don't expect Disney to latch the lid on its inexhaustible archives until a dozen or so of these records, each as strong as the next, beckon you back for more. --Tammy La GorceCustomer Reviews:

"Many guitarists dabble in slide guitar, but the number of modern masters can probably be counted on one hand- Roy Rogers is surely one of them..."- Guitar Player Magazine. This Roy Rogers' first ever live CD. Drawing on inspiration and material from a career that spans decades of performing, Roy Rogers is considered one of the world1s leading parishioners of modern slide guitar. This is a Bandlink Enhanced CD which enables you to access new and exclusive Roy Rogers content- instant tour dates, news alerts, bonus music tracks, live video footage and direct chats with the Roy. Nominated for 8 Grammy1s for his production and performing work in the recording industry, Rogers1 has been immersed in the blues and roots scene and performing professionally since the ripe age of 13. This longtime Northern California resident picked up a nomination for the prestigious W.C. Handy Award in the Best Instrumentalist Guitar category last year for his release "Slideways" which hit #3 on the Blues Billboard chart. In addition, Rogers' recently co-wrote the song 3G1Nawin on It1 (on 'Silver Lining') with Bonnie Raitt which was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Female Rock Vocal Performance category. Rogers is currently being featured on OSierra Center Stage1, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company-sponsored television series which seeks to bring exposure to underexposed American Roots and World musicians. The CD includes special guest performances by pianist Phil Aaberg, harmonica wizard Norton Buffalo, vocalist Shana Morrison and fiddler Tom Rigney. "I am first and foremost a performer and I have been playing with these players for a long time. It's great to lay it down and not have to bother with the added textures of studio polish- but keep it as gritty and fresh as possible. I also wanted to capture the band at this moment in time and I think we did that," adds Rogers.Customer Reviews:

This Norwegian duo transcended the glossy teen-pop sound of their debut Shades of Purple through sincere performances and good songwriting. With their sophomore set, Marion Raven (vocals/keyboards) and Marit Larsen (vocals/guitars) take an organic, live approach to their music as they enlist the support of rock veterans including drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist T-Bone Wolk, and guitarist Jimmy Bones. The results range from tender ballads to energetic pop-rockers. M2M continue to distinguish themselves not only by their catchy vocal harmonies and songwriting talent but by shirking clichés. They don't serenade boys with cutesy ballads, nor do they flaunt sexual innuendoes. This is teen-pop with a genuine sense of romanticism and innocence lacking from the Britneys, Mandys, and Christinas of the world. Marion and Marit's well-crafted songs don't just deal with being and falling in love, they deal with hurt and disappointment. They even get downright catty on "Jennifer," their ode to female jealousy, and give "Miss Popular" a taste of exclusion. Although they may not yet have achieved the multiplatinum American status of other teen singers, the women of M2M should prove to have a much longer career. --Bryan ReesmanCustomer Reviews:

Their best album!!!.......2005-07-22
My ratings on the songs:
1.) Everything: 5/5 Their 1st single and the best fast song on here. I love the way they sing the chorus.
2.) Jennifer: 5/5 A song many can relate to. Its about your boyfriend liking this girl who is so perfect. You want to hate her but you just cant because she is so nice and so you are telling your boyfriend about how you feel about this.
3.) Dont: 5/5 One of my fav songs on here. The guitar and the way the girls sing is so beautiful. I love the 1st verse really.
4.) Payphone: 10/5 My favorite song on this album. The music in here is so wonderful and I love it when they say " I know you cant just smile those tears away"
5.) What You Do About Me: 5/5 Nice song and I really love the video to this song. I love the way the piano is played on here.
6.) Love Left For Me: 5/5 Such a beautiful song. My favorite part is the chorus.
7.) Miss Popular: 5/5 A song everyone can relate to. Not that many people like to touch on issues like this, but Im glad the girls did. Love the beat and the bridge.
8.) Wanna Be Where You Are: 5/5 This song is really nice. Its about a girl missing her boyfriend desperatly and she wants to be with him.
9.) Leave Me Alone: 5/5 Love this song because its finally time for the girls to tell the guys they dont want them.
10.) Sometimes: 5/5 Every girl can relate to this song. Its about having a bad day and the chorus here is really cool. I know I feel like that sometimes.
11.) Eventually: 5/5 A perfect song at the best. I love the guitar because it is so haunting.
This album is the best and worth every penny. So go out there and buy it and you wont be sorry.
This is how pop should sound........2005-04-08
1 - Everything - Catchy tune and chorus, not to mention that addicting guitar riff throughout the song.
2 - Jennifer - Nothing special about this song, but the guitar solo is very good, and the girls' vocals harmonize very well in this song.
3 - Don't - Very good acoustic song.
4 - Payphone - Again, nothing special, but Marit's guitar and Marion's piano go together well.
5 - What You Do About Me - One of my favorites. I am still trying to figure out how to play that guitar riff.
6 - Love Left For Me - Maybe my least favorite song on the album. No comment.
7 - Miss Popular - Energetic and catchy pop rock at its finest.
8 - Wanna Be Where You Are - Marion delivers a beautiful piano and vocal performance, and that electric guitar solo is just phenomenal.
9 - Leave Me Alone - A slow song. The instrumental break reminds me of "Let It Be" for some odd reason.
10 - Sometimes - A nice fast-paced acoustic song with a rocking guitar solo. Did they have to mute the "S"-word in the lyrics, though?
11 - Eventually - Slow acoustic song, a great pick to end the album.
It's a bummer that M2M isn't around anymore; I think they would have had a lot more success had this album gotten some more publicity. This album was very under-rated. It's a great album, it just wasn't given a chance to really make an impact.
Searching for a sweet pop duo.......2004-08-04
Some time ago on the tv i saw a video of two girls. One had long dark hair, the other had shorter half-blonde half-red hair. They sang a typical sweet pop song, but kind of a teen hiphop. On the video they danced in impossible colorful outfits with lots of colorful decorations in the background, also on one of the scenes the sang while sitting on a toyhorse, and on another scene they kinda played shoppping - there was a label "Shopping with Dafney and Cornelia" written on the screen (i'm very not sure about the names!)... now i'm desperatly looking for that band... was that M2M???
Great Follow Up.......2004-07-11
1. Everything-This song is about two people dating, but then the relationship fails. The song is one of the poppier ones, and the chorus is very catchy.
2. Jennifer-This is about how there are people in a relationship but the guy has a crush on a girl named 'Jennifer' and how he keeps saying she's only just a friend.
3. Don't-This song is a bit slower. This time it's about the girl. This is a lot like 'Jennifer' actually, except now it's the girl is in a relationship but she has a crush on another guy.
4. Payphone- Another slow song. This song can make you feel sort of sad. It just has that effect on people. But then there are other parts where you feel happy.
5. What You Do About Me-Wow, this song is the best. The opening line really gives you a glimpse at how upset she is. "I wish that I was her, and I wish that she was me."
6. Love Left For Me- This song is slow at the beginning, but gets faster. It's about if he has love left for her.
7. Miss Popular- This song is so catchy, and I'm sure a lot of people can relate. This sogn has a happy ending though. It's about how the 'popular girl' is all snobby and rude, and so now nobody is talking to her.
8. Wanna Be Where You Are-This is pretty much slow all the way through. It's very good though. I have a feeling that the title of this song gives away pretty much what the song is about though.
9. Leave Me Alone-Yet another self explainatory title. This is actually about a guy STALKING her thoguh. Creepy song, with great piano in the backround.
10. Sometimes-This song sounds a bit country western at the beginning! This song is fast, and very good. It's just about girls up and down days.
11.Eventually-Slow. What are they saying at the beginning. I like this song, it's just very relaxing.
I wish that M2M had not broken up,unles the rumor is wrong? But if you want three new songs and a lot of live or accoustic versions of old songs, buy The Day You Went Away:The Best Of.

American audiences will embrace Henri Salvador like he's a Grandpa Moses of bossa nova. It's not every day that an eightysomething crooner steps out of U.S. obscurity with an album of warm-as-fresh-pastry cabaret music. Of course, Salvador is no Henri-come-lately. He's famous in France and francophone former colonies (like his native Cayenne, French Guiana) and has decades of television and recording work to his credit. Now, it's time for stateside listeners to play catch-up. This album was reportedly recorded on the verge of Salvador's retirement, and though the sound is classique, many of the songs are of recent vintage. Salvador's charming, half-spoken vocals will resound with listeners familiar with the suave stylings of cabaret practitioners such as Charles Trenet and Walter Hyatt. There's also a bit of Danny Kaye in his phrasing on the album's lighter fare, like the brass-band-flavored "Mademoiselle"--no surprise given Salvador's extensive comedic résumé. Younger audiences primed by the ironic, sophisticated grooves of Dimitiri from Paris and Money Mark will delight in much of the instrumentation here. The album is, in fact, a triumph of production and arranging. Full orchestras are cued, at times, at the same volume as a single instrument, reduced to the level of pure atmosphere. One track, "Il fait Dimanche," has a funky vamp that demands to be sampled for the contemporary dance floor. Another, "Faire des ronds dans l'eau," subsists on strummed guitar and a trap set, with the occasional gypsy-style, savory violin part added for spice. Throughout, Salvador presents himself as an astute, sympathetic performer. On "Je sais que tu sais" it's hard to tell where his whispered voice ends and the drummer's light brushes begin. Apparently, swingers--in the jazz sense of the word--get better with age. --Marc WeidenbaumCustomer Reviews:

A surprising but amazing contribution from Salvador.......2004-02-15
I know there are Salvador stalwarts out there who will protest my characterization of Henri as being generally just OK, and I agree he released several standout songs throughout his long career. But those standouts are watered down by so many recordings that are "just a bit too." Just a bit too sentimental. Just a bit too comical. Or just a bit too out-of-genre for Henri to carry. Salvador's early background in cabaret, his affection for a variety of musical styles, and his associations with a wide range of musical greats (everyone from Django Reinhardt to Quincy Jones) have resulted in an impressive (and no doubt enjoyable) but flawed career.
With "Chambre Avec Vue," Salvador has taken the best of what he does well and has improved on it by performing with more wisdom than whimsy, more expertise than experimentation, and more authentic sentiment than unselfconscious sappiness. I agree with another reviewer that the influence of Benjamin Biolay (who has been associated with a few really great albums lately) cannot be underestimated on this album. But regardless of who you think deserves the credit, this is truly an album for those who like nuanced, toasted jazz vocals. Yes, it's all in French, and the album is packed with more international influences (notably bossa nova) than the average jazz vocal album. But on "Chambre Avec Vue," Salvador sounds as relaxed as Bing Crosby, as seasoned as recent Tony Bennett, and as melancholy as Chet Baker. That adds up to a surprising and welcome addition to the Salvador oeuvre.

Another great trip down the MFU memory lane.......2005-10-19
My only problem is that THE CDs ARE COPY PROTECTED! Considerable work is needed to get the music onto your iPod, if you really want the music in your mp3 collection. This is a major hassle and a surprise, since the first set in the series was not copy protected.
The best of the three Double CDs ORIGINAL soundtrack release.......2005-07-12
Indeed, this is an unbelievable collection of three double CDs packages with the complete series soundtrack, and I mean the complete music, not a tune is missing.
And this is the ORIGINAL Man From Uncle music. Let me stress the point: this is the four years ORIGINAL soundtrack with the original recordings as they were heard throughout the series, not a no-name orchestra doing personal versions of the stuff. The audio transfer is very, very good, the music from late episodes is even in stereo.
Each individual CD carries over 70 minutes of music. All in all there you have the four TV seasons main titles and all, absolutely all of TMFU unforgetable music.
This is not a chronological release, meaning, all CDs have a mix of music from all four TV seasons. Volume 1 is heavier on early TV seasons stuff, fans of Jerry Goldsmith will love it. Those of us who prefer what Gerald Fried and later Richard Shores did with TMFU music, then volume 2 is mandatory. If you are a fan, you can't miss any of these six CDs. However if buying all three double packages is too much for you, you must go with Volume 2, no questions asked. Volume three is the weakest of them as it brings "suites" and a whole CD with "The Girl From Uncle" soundtrack, but you have a bonus "Open Channel D" beeper.
Each package is gorgeous, each with a glossy color booklet with extensive liner notes with details on how each tune was written to a specific TV series episode and how it was used onwards. You have bios on the composers, on how the recordings were made, even an overview on how many instruments were available in each of the years the music was recorded.
So, throw away your Hugo Montenegro Man From Uncle CD, this is the REAL thing.

extremely poor re-mastering.......2004-12-21
While this one certainly contains many valuable tracks, the re-mastering is horrid. The songs sound stripped yet still maintain a great deal of distracting noise. I conjecture that the re-mastering was done simply by increasing the bass and decreasing the treble.
An excellent CD!.......2004-03-29
For Jeanette, it has numbers from Up In Central Park: Carousel in the Park, It Doesn't Cost You Anything to Dream, Close as Pages in a Book, Fireman's Bride, The Big Back Yard, When You Walk in the Room. She and Robert Merrill sing these together and on their own, and very charmingly, too. There are also Love Me Tonight, Isn't It Romantic, and Beyond the Blue Horizon.
For Nelson, he sings music from The Student Prince with Rise Stevens: Golden Days, Drinking Song, Deep in my Heart Dear, Serenade (which is BEAUTIFUL!), Just We Two, and Come Boys. He also sings all the songs from Northwest Outpost - thankfully, without Ilona Massey! Also, the Willie the Whale segment from Make Mine Music is on this CD - just as it is in the movie, with the narration and everything - it's great! (The Tristan und Isolde part is not included, however - not sure what the reasoning is behind that.) He also sings a duet with Jane Powell - Why Do I Love You? from Show Boat.
I say this is a must for fans of Nelson and/or Jeanette, not to mention Rise Stevens!
I particularly enjoy "When You Walk in the Room". It's a charming little tune, with ridiculous but adorable lyrics! "Fireman's Bride" is very funny also - Jeanette barely sounds like herself!
I hope this will help others to choose this CD - it's a pity there's not a list of the titles here!

Wonderful Sounding CD.......2005-06-26
Every track on this CD is catchy and well played. My only slight gripe, is the vocals have a Joe Cocker "croak" at times. (Although the lyrics are poetic and interesting to hear.) I gave them 5 stars anyway; it's just such a well-coordinated arrangement of songs.
There are shades of Deep Purple, Eddie Money, U2, and Cheap Trick and The Hooters in the sets. It's versatile and accessible music... more people should give it a chance!
My little secret.......2003-03-05
Great Band.......2003-03-02
Warning: The drums at the beginning of the cd in the song "Trip Free Live" will increase your blood pressure and those with heart conditions please listen with caution. Those without heart conditions, crank it... trust me, the only disappointment you'll have is that this is the only CD for the Hazies currently available.
Will Vinnie hit the big time?.......2001-06-10
Another thing...I just saw this band live in March of 2001, and it was one of the absolute best rock shows I have ever seen! There weren't many people there, but that didn't stop them from giving us 110%!
The last I heard they were signed with Egg Records, an indie label, and are still negotiating with a few major labels for their upcoming as-yet untitled release. I have pesronally heard most, if not all of the new songs, and they are just as good, if not better than the ones on display in Vinnie's big room. When they do get back on a major label, we can hopefully look for "Vinnie Smokin' In The Big Room" to be re-released as well.
If you can find this one, pick it up! You will not be disappointed!
Great club band rocks the house.......2001-06-06
