Having met Astra first as my Reiki Master I knew what a wonderful person she is -- but I didn't realize her depth until I heard her music. Wow... what a voice! Kind of a husky, "whisky-rich" depth with deep, deep soul. And what power! I have yet to hear a musician who has this much power behind her voice (without the technical "assistance"). She is an incredible person, a fantastic musician and I can't wait till she comes back to Chicago to perform or puts out another album. Either way, Astra you are fabulous!

Having seen Astra play a couple of times in Chicago, I was waiting a long time for this album to come out. It was worth the wait. Rock and Roll has a new star. Folk and rock intermingle with suprising ease on this disc. Songs that make you want to get up and dance or sit back and let the words trip across your mind. Live these words and your life will definitly be changed. BUY THIS DISC!

....but not really. That's the paradox of playing music. The stage is the mask. The images, the sound, the creation itself is not mine to hold and attache myself to. Beyond this I am.....me...as are all of us. The spark of an idea. Of course I would say you should buy this CD...because I made it. Besides that, the reason you should buy it, is because it will make you feel good, the closer you listen the more you find, the deeper it goes and the better it feels. I want nothing more then to spread a poz-I-tive vibe throughout the ears, the bodies, the minds, and beings of all who hear it. Nuf said. Astra
