This song is guarenteed to be one of the worst singles of all time it was just so annoying this thing was suck all the way I verbally hate it and it makes remeber how much I hated them

5 out of 5 stars Bootylicious is Groovilicious!.......2002-07-16

Let's be honest, here. Destiny's Child's "Survivor" was a wildly uneven collection of TRL-ready Black pop. The best song on that CD was easily "Bootylicious." Sensual and catchy, it was my jam for the summer of 2001, with its smart Stevie Knicks sample and its memorable chorus. On this CD, the girls take it to another level, and get a bangin' house treatment courtesy of Richard Vission. This mix is louder, grittier, and funkier than the original, and a dub version is also available. Of course, there's a hip hop remix at the end, but it's blah and predictable. Those who know me understand that I have mixed feelings about Destiny's Child (or is it really Beyonce with two backup singers?), but make no mistake: "Bootylicious" is groovilicious.

1 out of 5 stars Disgusting and stupid!.......2001-10-26

I am sooooo sick of this filthy lyric music cluttering up the airwaves. This song is so childish it's sickening. Those words sound so juvenile that I,m wondering if they even came from these 20 somethings. The guitar parts are from some Stevie Nicks song from about 20 years ago but that can't save this garbage track. This song wasn't even sexy at all. It was disgusting to listen to. I would give this -ten if I could.

        2 out of 5 stars okay mixes.......2001-09-23

I don't like the remixes on this cd. The other two but short mixes are much better. I do like the song very much.

4 out of 5 stars Catchy, very catchy!.......2001-09-04

I think the album version is the best one, but remixes on this cd are not bad to listen to. I like Vission's and Big Boyz remixes better than the two others (Vission's dub and Case remix). This song sticks in your head after listening to it, the lyrics are catchy and the music is too, a lot of bass, which I absolutely love. The video is also very good. I'm not even a DC fan and I fell for Bootylicious!

        3 out of 5 stars It's the "Bootylicious" single.......2001-09-13

I get really annoyed when Sony Australia does this. They release a new single and loads it up with remixes of the previous therefore we are always one single behind when it comes to the remixes. It's not all the exciting really for American fans unless a maxi single wasn't released for "Survivor" then you can rejoice the remixes to "Survivor". The remixes ain't that appealing because it's just different beats and less dramatic and the pace is a little faster than the album version and that's about it. However, the main attraction to the single is the Enhanced component of the live video of DC3's performance of "Independent Women Part I" at the Brits awards. Recommended for die hard DC3 fans only.

5 out of 5 stars I Think You CAN Handle This!.......2003-08-14

I like Destiny's Child in general but the last thing I
expected to hear from these very talented ladies was three
funky divas."Bootylicious" is a true modern funk classic with
                a great beat,some groovy loops and a chunking,dinasaur funky
guitar rhythm-plus Beyonce' and company's fantastic growling
vocals! From what I hear their accompanying "Survivor" album is
more modern R&B in nature but "Bootylicious" COOKS and really
deserves an album based primarily on THIS sound!A fantastic
                modern R&B/funk single!

1 out of 5 stars Run! Run as far away as you can.......2002-06-14

This vomit inducing song justifies why I despise so much of todays R&B so much. It's this gender-bashing, emotionally void, obnoxious, barrel clicking so called music that makes me hate so much of todays R&B so much. To all true music lovers: Stay STAY far away from this single as you possibly can. There is no content in Destinys Childs music. All the reason they are here is just for the money. And I am appalled at what R&B has sunk to. The song contains some guitar sample from a Stevie Nicks song from 20 odd years ago but the name eludes me at the moment. But the sampling is a travesty to what music really is. I pray that no talentless R&B rap acts sample favorite songs of mines like Peter Gabriels Sledgehammer or Phil Collins Another Day In Paradise because most samplings are a disgrace to the original songs. DC should just go away and leave us music lovers alone because what they make isn't true girl power at all. In fact what I would say to womens rights activists is that what DC, Lil Kim and Britney put out is more degrading to women than what Eminem or Ja Rule could ever put out. But if you are going to buy something intelligent, well-craft or just plain worthy of hearing, bo and buy Oleta Adams All The Love or Brenda Russells 2000 release Paris Rain or even her old material. Whatever you do though don't fall for the same thing that thousands of brainless TRL fools do and don't put your hard earned cash into Beyonces pocket.

5 out of 5 stars This song is too bootylicious.......2001-09-11

I've loved Destiny's Child ever since Bills Bills Bills. And its no surprise that these ladies are the biggest girl band in the world at the moment. Bootylicious is the 3rd single to be lifted off the tiple platinum 'Survivor'.

Its one of those dance numbers where you are too weak to resist and have to get up and dance. If you like Destiny's Child - this is the song to you. With mad dance routines, and bizare lyrics ie 'I don't think your ready for this jelly',
This is the CD for you.

5 out of 5 stars Pop music to be proud of.......2001-08-30

If you're still holding back, it's okay to admit it. Everybody likes Destiny's Child. And, frankly, there ain't nothing wrong with that. They pair up fun, sing-along lyrics and choruses with stop-go synth beats that never fail to be fun.
"Bootylicious" is a great example. Starting with the Stevie Nicks sample (anybody who can create dancefloor R&B out of Stevie Nicks is okay by me!) and moving into an irresistible beat, it's a great pop song. Plus, as a bonus, the Richard "Humpty" Vission mix is really good. I was skeptical, having purchased his music before and doubting that the hard house sound would mesh with Destiny's Child, but it works. "Bootylicious" may not be quite as good as "Independent Woman Pt. 1", but it beats "Survivor" and is still a great song.

4 out of 5 stars Ideal for some BOOTY action.......2001-08-11

Do I need to say more? Love the song, but the remix of the song included in this single not much, that's why I gave it a 4 star rating, but I absolutely recommend it.
