Lisette Gonzalez is 16 Years old and the Daughter of Nelson and Audrey Gonzalez residing in Wappingers Falls, New York.

Lisette is a junior at JOHN JAY High School in East Fishkill

Lisette started her career at the tender age of Three singing at a local Beauty Pageant. After winning that she was on her way and never looked back.

A year later her mother was looking for a voice teacher for Lisette and found Bob Santero. Bob has developed what God and her mother has given Lisette, by presenting her in shows and showcases around the Hudson Valley, New York.

Lisettes latest efforts have been in preparing the recent release of her CD Album called 'A Million Kisses'.

Lightning in a bottle.......2006-12-11

Fairground Attraction paired scottish songwriter Mark Nevin's jazz and pop inflected acoustic guitar,base and drums setup, with singer Eddie Reader's distinctive voice. While Reader makes the songs her own, it's Nevin's hooks and clever wordplay that make this a memorable and catchy album, that surprisingly hasn't been imitated effectively since its release in 1998.

Many people will remember the number one UK hit Perfect, but that's only one of the many great songs in the collection, that went Platinum. It's a great CD to play at a party, where you'd like to set a mellow mood and allow people to talk. In terms of pure listenability, the acoustic setup doesn't allow for a lot of instrumental variety, although this was clearly meant to be the first salvo. While lacking variety, the song writing and performances are good enough to keep you listening.

For a taste of Nevin's lyrics consider this stanza and chorus from "Smile and a Whisper"

"All of the letters and all of the words
in all of the books all over the world
they're nothing but sounds and vowels and nouns
for talking to strangers, that's all they're worth.

Words are unable to speak of love
like a smile in a whisper does."

As the title suggests this is a deeply romantic and at times wistful album, that speaks very much to the universal themes of the importance of love in the lives of young adults, that has a universal resonance.

In a not unusual story, after touring the world (in particular Japan where they were a sensation) and working on a second album, Reader grew angry with Nevin and her lack of creative input into the composition of songs. Rader quit the band and a second album was never released.

While she's had a successful solo career, she's never managed to approach the level of success she achieved with Nevin's band and this album.

Fairground Attraction (First of a Million Kisses) bring a unique singing and classic sound to relaxing music, but definitely not one dissapear into the background. One to have in your collection!

It's GOT to be worth it!.......2004-06-16

Edie Reader is in possession of a voice that works magic on the slightest of phrases. Which is why "The First Of a Million Kisses" was the best reason to ever hear her sing. Guitarist and songwriter Mark Nevin wrote a batch of songs that were almost all - pardon the stretch here - "Perfect." He tackled forms from light dancehall to country swing and Edie made them all sound like they were the most urgent messages on the face of the planet.

Hence a song as pure and guiless as "Perfect." I remember hearing this CD from a friend at RCA and immediately shoving all the other CDs on my desk to one side so I could listen to it over and over, for most of that week. Out of all the music I was sifting through, Fairground Attraction sounded the most lifelike. To this day, I am amazed at how well this disc has held up. A song like "Station Street" can still get me choked up, as can "Allelujah."

Most of the playing here is organic and airy, and the production kept things uncluttered and uncompressed. It's kept "The First Of a Million Kisses" from falling into a space where an album's sound traps it to their times instead of becoming timeless. And any singer that can give me goosebumps (as Edie does at the end of "Whispers") will always have a place in my CD collection.

First of a million listenings..........2004-02-06

I rarely write any reviews here, but I had to say something about this album. It is one of my all-time favorites, and I definitely recommend it. If you like pop, or even some light jazz, this is great. Eddie Reader has a wonderful voice, and all the songs are great. Hallelujah takes you to another time and place... My favorites are Hallelujah, The wind knows my name, Find my love, and of course the hit song Perfect... I have had this album for over ten years and I still listen to it; I never get tired of it... Get this one, and if you like it, give Ay Fond Kiss a try.

An Overlooked GEM.......2003-10-17

It is a shame that Fairground Attraction isn't around anymore. I understand they were a big hit in the UK, and never achieved that level of success in the U.S.A., which is a SHAME! Listen to any of the songs on this album and you are wisked away with sensuous sounds and lucious rhythms. Eddi Reader's voice is like that of an angels, wishing you well and at the same time enveloping you in a blanket of warmth and love. The instrumentation of the band, along with their wonderfully written songs, truly takes your hand and holds it throughout the lovely journey of melody and time.
