I didn't know that Jennifer Love Hewitt sang until I was searching on here for one of her movies. After I saw it I looked up her song "Bare Naked" and loved it!! The whole CD is really amazing!! She's one of the few who can act AND sing!

In a world where talentless female artists rule because of their status (Paris Hilton), cuteness (Hilary Duff) or nudity (Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilera) Jennifer Love Hewitt offers a refreshing change to the norm. This album truely is a master-piece of which Jennifer should be proud of. It's full of rock-infused pop tracks (BareNaked, Can I Go Now?) and lovely ballads (Stand In Your Way, You). Not only is this full of brilliant pop/rock songs it's produced with little production, there is no synths or computer alterations used on Jennifer's voice which is truely refeshing. But it's obvious that perhaps if Jennifer had had less talent and showed more [...] she's be doing a world tour by now.

i like that this album wasn't extremely popular. it makes me like it more. i like having hidden gems that when i share with people, they dont believe that j.l.hewitt could make such a great album and have a great voice.

everyone says tracks 3 & 8 are standouts, and i will definately have to agree. sometimes the writing is amateur on this album, but these two songs stand up on their own. "you" is one of my favorite songs of all time now.

This CD has alot of great songs on it and they show J-loves (jennifer love hewitts) Talents as a singer... yes she can sing and alot better than most singers out there. If your a fan of J-love buy this you will love it and the same goes if you just like pop-ish music this CD is way better than anything by Britney Mandy Jessica or Christina so Buy it!!!

When I listen to this CD I stick to two songs, #3 & #8. I find that out of all of the songs these are the only ones that give a glimpse of Hewitt's talent. I find that the rest of the songs are a product of bad production and poor writing. Ms. Hewitt can definitely sing, but what she really needs is a strong team to help make her tallent shine. I gave the CD 2 stars, one for each song I like.

Jennifer "Love" Hewitt is a talented artists who could do both: act and sing. Few could do such things. I loved this album of hers, the songs, all original can't pick favorites. In my opinion her voice is perfect and putting her name on the cover, it means she got soul and depth making this quality album.

If you want to get in the Christmas spirit you have to get this. I first saw this musical on television in 2004 and purchased the DVD in 2005. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the audio CD in 2006 so I can listen to it while driving. I think I know why I like this so much. Its because the music was written by the same guy who wrote the music for Disney's Beauty and the Beast (one of my other favorite musicals) during the early 1990's. This Alan Menken is an incredible music writer. Very inspirational! Very upbeat! Very uplifting!

I received this album from Amazon the day before yesterday, and since then, it has barely left my computer's music player once--I kid you not.

Every time I listen to this album, I'm reminded of the soaring feeling I had watching the TV production starring Kelsey Grammer and company the Christmas before last. Menken and his co-workers have created an adaptation of Dickens' tale that not only brings forth the wonder of the season in audio form, not only makes me wish the real London could be like that, but to top it all off, _someone_ has finally captured the way I have imagined the Ghost of Christmas Present ever since I first read the novel in third grade! "Christmas in July," indeed!

Kudos, Mr. Menken! You and your all-star cast have created a Christmas show that deserves to be rerun on TV for decades to come, right up there with "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and the many Rankin-Bass specials--truly a holiday classic!

i bought this cd because i LOVE jennifer love hewitt. and i really do like the cd. but i don't like some of the lyrics considering they are coming from a girl who was what... 15 at the time? and if it's not supposed to mean "that" then why is she wearing a metalic bra in the pictures on this thing? just way inappropriate for what age target this cd should have been aiming for. otherwise, most of the songs are great. it's just one of the cd's i have to get in a "mood" to listen to. so it's definitely not on repeat in my car.

All I have to say is who thought this was an appropriate title for her CD? I mean she was what 15, 16 when she made it. I can't believe somewhere along the line no one was like, "Hey, maybe that's not the greatest title for a Cd 10 year olds are gonna listen to!"

I really like "Love", and I bought this CD because I really enjoyed her sophmore album. However I was really disappointed when I listened to this cd. The quality of the music itself was poor. A lot of loud music in the background and not enough concentration on the vocals. She has a killer voice, but you can tell she was just a young girl when she recorded this album. I would definitely recomment buying her latest album! It is a HUGE improvement over this sad attempt at music. Luckily the music store I bought it from let me return it the next day! Even though it was open.

I love barenaked by J-love but i wasnt sure if i would like this because i didnt know how her older stuff was well let me tell you i was more impressed with this then barenaked (even thought barenaked is one of my favorites) jenniferl ove hewiit has a nice smooth voice that flows smoothly with the music this is a feel good album im not usualy into slower stuff but jennifer love hewitt has always been an acception + there are some uptempo pieces of pop perfection in here i suggest getting this even for the 16$ import price or just get all of her albums used ether way you wont regret it her music is awesome i hope she makes a new album!

Under-rated beauty.......2006-11-05

Better known for her acting abilities in a string of hit movies (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Heartbreakers, Garfield) and the massively popular "Ghost Whisperer" one wouldn't think that Jennifer could also sing. But one must note that this singing isn't just a sudden product of the actresses popularity and to cash-in (see Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan). Jennifer has aspired to be a singer ever since she was a child like most great actresses did (Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler). Are you seeing the destiniction?

Vocally, Jennifer displays an array of lush, heart-felt notes that are pure ear-candy. "Cool With You" and "Don't Push The River" are pure examples of this as is the beautiful love ballad "No Ordinary Love". Also lovely is the lullaby "Love Is The Greatest Word" and the powerful "Don't Turn Your Head Away". The only real weak tracks are the hard-to-listen-to "I Want A Love I Can See" or the confusing "I Always Was Your Girl" but the songs are lost in the positive rather than the positive getting lost in the negative (see Autiobiography- Ashlee Simposn).

There are some who will say that Jennifer can't sing and that her music is "rubbish". But these people are missing the point-- this album is not suppose to be listened to whilst trying to figure out the meaning of life. To use the much used cliche; "it does exactly what it says on the tin". "Cool With You: The Platinum Collection" is ultimately disposable but like a Yorkie bar it's nice while it lasts.

This song by Jennifer Love Hewitt is from her motion picture "I Know What Your Breasts Did Last Summer Part 2". Love has a decent voice, and it's a decent pop song. It wasn't quite a hit, though; it only reached #59 on the Pop charts. The "b-side" is "Try To Say Goodbye", by someone called Jory Eve. This song is pretty forgettable. As a matter of fact, I have already forgotten it.

i dont have the import cd; but i do have the U.S. version and it is my all time favorite cd. the songs on there are really good and really send a good message too. they have helped me through a lot - especially at the time the cd came out. i have all 4 of her cds (including this one) and i think all of them were worth recognition of some kind. she has a really good voice (which puts her above some other famous pop singers who shall remain nameless); and her songs send out a positive message. she is an amazing actress; but she is also a phenomenal singer.

Hey, yeah I'm lucky because my dad bought me the import asian version of the "Barenaked" CD and I love it. The bonus track "Just Try" is soooo good. I wish it was a single here in the U.S. One point I'd like to make. Jennifer Love Hewitt is so underrated it drives me crazy! I mean she's so good and hasn't gotten any spot on the music charts because she's clearly better than some of the teen pop ... If you guys didn't know, she has two previous albums that I guess no one knew of and finally this CD is the best and yet the world is so blind that they can't look past the actress. I would just like to say that Jennifer Love Hewitt is one of my favorite artists of all time and one day she will be recognized for her talent of singing. Anyways, the CD is 5 stars, even the regular version but hear the bonus track on this one becuase its so good!
