Some thought it would never happen, but after solo successes and a three-year hiatus the ladies of Destiny's Child have reunited for the eagerly-anticipated Destiny Fulfilled. The Houston-based trio of Kelly, Michelle and some girl named Beyonce follow up their mega successful Survivor with another album full of infectious dance grooves and melancholy tales of women done wrong. Lead single "Lose My Breath" is their first offering of the former. Backed by a kinetic marching band sample, they sing with an urgency that bolsters the Rodney Jerkins-produced track. Current single "Soldier" is more of the same. Featuring T.I. and Lil' Wayne, the song allows the trio to sing the praises of the kind of men they like.

Despite this one-two uptempo punch, DC does do ballads. They go old-school on the moving "If." Michelle, who has several impressive solos throughout, and Beyonce trade lines about finding and holding on to love. However, on "Bad Habit" the trio goes for the paint-by-numbers woman finding her inner-strength theme. Other highlights include the 9th Wonder and Beyonce-produced "Girl" and the midtempo gem "Free." --Rashaun Hall

Ok... Beyonce sings about being a very independent woman and being a Survivor but she's singing about have a ghetto thug in Soldier to make her complete and that she will slave over a man in Cater 2 You? She lacks substance in her music and she's contradicts herself. There's a better word for this a Hypocrite. First of all, the Destiny's Child girls are from a upper middle class neighborhood in Texas but they're dressing up as ghetto girls in the Soldier video? And they're singing about that they want a ghetto thug as a boyfriend. No girl wants a ghetto dude as a boyfriend. They mays sell more albums than most girls groups but TLC, the Supremes, and En Vogue and even latin freestyle girl groups from the 1980's like the Cover Girls, Sweet Sensation, Seduction, Expose have more substance in their music and lyrics.

Destiny's Child has been named the best-selling girl group of all time and it's not hard to figure out the reason why! Their tight melodies, slammin' beats and looks definitely shout "superstardom" and Destiny Fulfilled (their first--and last--disc as a regrouped act) showcases them nearly at their best. Lead single "Lose My Breath" combines a sample of a marching band and Hip Hop-induced R&B hooks to make one slice of pure ear candy; "Soldier" is another example of DC at the top, but had it not involved the typical overused rapper appearance it'd have been much better (in my opinion T.I. and Lil' Wayne only bring the song down). "Cater 2 U" opens with a soft, introspective raindrop-like introduction and shimmers into a great R&B ballad. The trademark Destiny's Child harmonies are apparent on the opening of "If," another beautiful ballad on Fulfilled. In the past Michelle hasn't had much chance to have solos (Beyonce is no doubt the powerhouse singer here--but that doesn't mean she has to overpower the other two girls) but here she has several. Aside from the stellar opener "Lose My Breath," "Through With Love" is almost as addictive. Overall, Destiny's Child could have done a little better since this disc is a little dragged down by too many bland ballads, but in the end it's still a great tribute to the world's best-selling girl group and should leave the listener indeed feeling fulfilled.

It's...Ok .......2006-10-30

I like Destiny's Child alot and I liked this cd somewhat. Some of the good songs are "Lose My Breath" which is a good one to get ppl dancing at a party, "Cater 2 U" which is a good song to listen to if you have nothing to do, "Soldier" and Is She the Reason" those are the good songs. If you want to hears these songs without having to buy the cd, just download. Easy as can be plus if you don't like it you could alsways delete it.

Very Entertaining.......2006-10-27

I love this album - I just got it as a free CD from Columbiahouse. It's a grown woman's album. I can listen to it from beginning to end without skipping tracks. It's has a good mix of club bangers, slow jams and sad love songs. Also Kelly and Michelle do more singing than in the past. They have good voices as well. Different to Bey's voice but good nonetheless. #10 Through With Love and #5 Is She The Reason are the tracks that were not released as singles that I love the most.
1.Lose my breath - When this song was released as a single, I didn't really like it but it grew on me since then. I like the marching band sounds in it.
2. Solder feat TI and Lil Wayne - This song is hot. I bought this single from itunes before I had the album. Love it.
3. Cater 2 u - A great love song for a woman to dedicate to her man. I bought this single from itunes before I had the album. Love it.
4. T-shirt - Another sweet, sexy love song - like it. Very sexual
5. Is she the reason - I love this song - I love the tune.
6. Girl - This is a 'supportive of my sistas' song. Very affirming and positive. Promotes sisterhood and friendship.
7. Bad Habit - This is a song about ending the cycle of breaking up and getting back together. It's another great song.
8. If - This is different but good. It's about a cheating man.
9. Free - This is about the freedom you feel when you leave behind a bad relationship. I like the positive vibe of this song.
10.Through with love - I LOVE this song. I love how it sounds. This is one of the best of the unreleased singles off of this album.
11. Love - This is a song about finding love with someone. It's beautiful and a good conclusion to the album.

Great Comeback Album.......2006-09-20

First of all, I'd liked to start off by saying that this CD review should be more than 3 1/2 stars. What the hell is wrong with you people, people are bugging if you think that "Survivor" was better than this. That album had a bunch of fillers and just plain "pointless". These tracks were more mature, and were better when performed live. I saw them when they were in New York last August touring, and I was especially inpressed by Michelle. She killed "Through with Love", as well as her solo single "Do You Know". To be honest I wish they never broke up, because there's a lack of true R&B groups out there. They need to get a reunion together and give these other groups a run for their money.

The best thriller score in many years.......2004-02-27

This is the best thriller score in many years. The film is also very effective and is directed by star Bill Paxton. It is a very dark story and from what I have read in Paxton's liner notes, the score was written with more of a nod to film noir and the golden age of cinema than to other contemporary film composers. This showcases Tyler's composing skills as being well ahead of his peers. The themes of this movie score are unshakable.

A Perfect Destiny Fulfilled Edition for DC3 Fans!!.......2005-09-10

The only thing I'm gonna explain to you is how good this CD is. Everybody knows DC3 had seperated and did their own solo cariers, but when they came with Destiny Fulfilled, I CANT BELIEVE. This album is really good with its Lose My Breath (I think i don't have to explain this why this song is really good), Soldier (good mix, great Lil' Wayne and T.I. cameo), Girl (Half-bit likeness rhyme, the lyrics better than the music), Cater 2U(I don't know why they made this song as a single), Bad Habit(Better than Girl or Cater, so rhytmic music), Through With Love (so-full-of-beat song, really deep and cool). Not that just great, in this release there is a bonus track Game Over (really good, even as a bonus).

Now, move to the DVD. The DC3 interview is good or almost great, by the way I see there are some wrong talk arrangement for both 3 of them. The videos, idon't have to talk again, they're all great, so DC3 themself. The live performances are somehow not really good at some point with their 80's curly hair, but it's still great to watch them. Afterall, if you're a DC3 fan, you have to-should-must buy this release. If you're not DC3 fan and don't have the original release of D-Fulfilled you should try this. But if you're not a DC3 fan and you already have the original release, better keep your money for other things.
(Note : In some Asian countries, this release is not added with DVD, but VCD. And the name is Destiny Fulfilled : Limited Edition. And this version also includes Cater 2 U Video-better buy this!)

DESCRIPTION NOT CORRECT..........2005-07-15

As we all know, Destiny's Child's new album is MORE than great! Any time we can get anything with them in it...whether it be videos, or cd's...we jump at the chance. The description says that there is LIVE footage from their '04/'05 concert on this...when in reality it's from their old concert (as seen in "Destiny's Child World Tour" DVD). I ordered this item thinking it was new footage from the '05 tour like the description says and was very disappointed that it wasn't. I hope they do release a DVD of their newest tour when they've finished touring. It would be wonderful to experience it again! Long live DC3!!!!!

MY FAV DC ALBUM.......2006-02-12

All I can say is that they went out with a bang. Each song is perfect. The input from each of the band's members makes the album perfect. Their voices together along with beyonce's writing is unstopable. The album has love songs, breakup songs, party songs, friendship encouraging songs" so you can listen to it no matter what mood your in. In my opinion, if Beyonce had shared the mic in previous albums, the probably wuld be the top-selling group of all time. Highlights include "Lose My Breath", "Cater 2 U", "T-Shirt", "If", and "Free"

I can't stand some issues about the album, the fact that the album was recorded in few session (2 weeks) and the many quantity unnecessary publicity and the released 3 days before original released date that make the album reached Nº19 and the Nº2 insted of dethrone Eminem (coz they could)Well details don't matter but this last album of the trio made them look and hear as true icon on R&B style and provin' that they are a group united.

Though I considered that DC looks like a lead singer and two back up chorus with some solos, I might wanna retact myself on this album coz in a long time Kelly and Michelle performed on equally parts with Beyonce. What I don't like about the vocals is that B keeps doin' the chorus highlight really messy on Girl. But then everythin' is ok!

1. Lose My Breath 10/10 DC and Darkchild made the mature joint on it. Breakin' some vocal stereotrypes on the album of not to risk too much and let Beyonce do some high notes, this one is more a group singin' act. Really good.

2. Soldier (featuring T.I. and Lil' Wayne) 9/10 Fightin' again DC's survivor stereotype just do so well on this jammin' track with the backup and old the sound is definitly fresh.

3. Cater 2 U - 10/10 This song is the opposite of my least fave DC song Bills Bills Bills. The song express a really tender situation of love and treat somebody you love with love good love.

4. T-Shirt - 10/10 Sexy, frenzy and extremly HOT song! Help me to think these have mature really much musically talkin'! you'll hear some really evolution on it.

5. Is She The Reason? 10/10 An amazing ballad and breakin' stereotypes of soft DC style. This song should've been a single.

6. Girl - 7/10 Though it's more like a GIRL TALK! it's just frustratin' to hear the last part when Beyonce keeps on doin' high on part of the chorus. The outstandin' here Michelle as her raspy vocal reached quality on her part and make me feel good.

7. Bad Habit - 10/10 Quite of extravaganza style (remember That's How You Like It on Beyonce solo album, this looks like but it's 100 times better) Kelly best performance takin' it on one of her highlight performance.

8. If - 10/10 As I said this is an outstanding singin' group act. Shoul've been a single too. This song is a kickin' one-

9. Free - 6/10 Tryin' to bring 'Happy Face' on this chapter is really sored of dumbed this album sound 100% mature than Survivor This song just keeps on my nerves, can't stand it but if you like Happy Face you might like this. I don't but it's ok'.

10. Through With Love - 100/10 Highlight suffering track Really good. DC at their best.

11. Game Over (Bonus Track) - 7/10 Average track.

DVD-Audio & SACD is 10 Times Better!.......2005-08-28

Being a Very !BIG ! music FAN of this Group! , I was very disappointed to hear the new dual DVD/CD out by what I would say is the BEST R&B female group.

Side A is recored as a CD track version
Other Side B is recored as the DVD version

The songs are the same both side:
Just side A is in 2.0 channel
Just side B is in 5.1 channel

I would give the album: 2/10 for Music on the DVD side.

DO NOT BUY this, unless like me you are a fan.

You will not benefit from anything such as better quality in music...

Dual DVD/CD is just a waste of time and money, buy SACD or DVD-Audio or both.

10 times better!

Sorry fans, but trust me, unless you are after this for a collection set, it is not worth the money.

Serious hits.......2005-04-19

This is a great cd, although i am a fan of every kind of music (not rock or hard metal). Destiny's child makes great songs together, so why are they splitting up and getting back together again, maybe they want to go solo. Anyway the songs are great, my favorite songs out of all of them is girl. It has a nice beat a soothing slow song. My second best was soldier and i don't care about the rest, all of the songs are great, just plain wonderful. I don't understand why its only 3 reviews up here, soon its going to be 4 when this one comes up. Maybe its because some of these people out here don't know talent when they see it or hear it and i have to say, this group has talent. I give this cd 5 stars. See ya

My only problem with this Dual Disc is that it was released too early. DC just did a video for their song "GIRL". this should have been released with that video and all the other videos planned for "Destiny Fufilled"

I really like this cd, it showcases how these ladies have grown from girls to women. When they first burst onto the scene they were singing about being independent, notw they are talking about taking care of your man and how being in a good relationship does not make you less independent but a stronger individual.

I am not to fond of all the songs since I appreciate the lyrical content more than the beat of a song...However, I was not disappointed with Destiny Fulfilled...Listed below are the songs worth listening to on a regular basis....

Cater 2 U < < < My favorite of the cd
If < < < Very orginal another good one..
Free < < < This one is okay...nice message...
Love < < < Very pretty song....
Game Over < < < Showcases how in love Beyonce and Kelly are...aint nothing wrong with being in love....esp when you are happy...

Overall I give the cd a 7 out of 10 stars...With all the positive things said on to the negative side...

It seems like a rush job...They could have made at least 13 songs..to save fans money from having to buying the imported cd..

This Album was given to me as a christmas present and I have listend to it for a total of 26 times!!
This album is fantastic. It tells a story of how love really is and is advising.
This album is something that will never get you down. It helps you to rebuild your life and to think it through before you give up because in the end it's all worth it!
Kelly, Beyonce & Michelle have the voices of angels as well as the beauty.
This is the best album yet and I hope there will be more in the future.
I wish all the girls the best of luck in the future and congratulate them on their success so far.
I Recomend you buy this album as it's the best out there at the moment!! thankyou!!!

Destiny's Children Are Growing Up.......2005-01-11

Some people loved this album because of the maturity; some hated it because it wasn't rowdy like Survivor or Writing's On The Wall. Me personally, I love the album but there's one problem...Michelle. Don't get me wrong, Michelle is cool but the girl can't sing. Gospel is cool for her but with D.C., she doesn't belong and I'll point those issues out right now.

01. LOSE MY BREATH (10/10) - The 1st single. The only fast up-tempo club song on the album. Very good!

02. SOLDIER (10/10) - The 2nd single. This song cracks me up everytime I hear it because of the fact that Michelle fell on stage on 106 & Park. I've sent that clip to all my friends and they have a ball seeing her trip over her own feet. If you'd like to view the clip, e-mail me at alcoholharmony@yahoo.com. Other than all that, this song is catchy along with T.I. and Lil' Wayne.

03. CATER 2 U (10/10) - The ultimate for your mate song. Willing to do anything to please them and tend to their every need. Very emotional.

04. T-SHIRT (10/10) - That "you're away for a while so I'll sleep in your t-shirt and imagine you're hear with me" song. Very sexy, extremely sexy!

05. IS SHE THE REASON (8/10) - This is the song that pisses me off about Michelle and herself. If ya'll haven't noticed, Michelle always gets the bridges in the songs. In this particular song, Michelle did a horrible run that makes my stomach turn and my ears bleed everytime I hear it. Other than that, it's a good track.

06. GIRL (8/10) - That "You can tell me anything because I've known you forever" song. About that relationship your friend is in and you know they deserve better. It grows on you.

07. BAD HABIT (8/10) - Along with a violin section, Kelly takes over this song with her emotional trials through a bad relationship and how it's become a bad habit and she needs to break it.

08. IF (9/10) - This song has no beat, just the chords and vocals. That "you'll never find another love like mine" song.

09. FREE (9/10) - Beyonce has the harmony is this song. Just being set free from a bad relationship. Everyone can relate.

10. THROUGH WITH LOVE (10/10) - It's amazing with simple and plain notes played on the piano can do. Another break up song. How you don't appreciate the other and they come to the conclusion that their through with love.

11. LOVE (10/10) - Now, the songs "Bad Habit" through "Through With Love" are about nothing but bad relationships and how they don't want to be in love no more but then they come back to it. Make up your minds girls! This is a really good love song tough. It makes you not want to give up on finding that special someone.

12. GAME OVER (10/10) - That one love you can't come to terms with your mind that it's reality. This has that "I think it's time we should make up, baby" vibe to it. Nice and slow, mellow and cool vibed.

OVERALL, THIS ALBUM IS VERY GOOD. I ADVISE YOU TO GET IT FOR YOURSELF.
