Mixed but excellent release.......2002-04-22

Although a few years old, this CD still hits the spot. Disc 1 quite different from disc 2 though, so those only interested in the funky side of things or into trance might be disappointed by this. Saying this however, this album has something for everyone.

Disc 1 mixed by Brandon Block is a very funky release with a number of huge releases such as Must Be The Music, Off The Wall and my favourite, Rise. The mixing is nothing special but certainly does the job. Towards the end of the CD it does become a bit more harder with I Feel Love and Sandstorm's Return Of Nothing.

Disc 2 is done by Tall Paul and builds upon the great mixes he has already done. Its tracks are more trance orientated than disc 1 and have been selected very well. Highlights include Angel, Welcome To The Dance, and Timo Maas' Der Scheiber.

This is a typical good release from Ministry of Sound. While some of the Tracks can be found on its other releases of the time, there is enough variety here to make it still listenable.

This cd is packed with both very current releases and some favorites a couple month old .... a perfect mix of vocals/trance and hard beats .. you can definitly listen to this cd all the way through with out skipping !

Disco Fans? Tall Pall crazy?.......2000-05-12

Well what can i say this CD isn't all that, I'm not a great disko fan, so the first CD of Blocko totally killed me, Although Tall Paul came out with a good set, I expected more. If you can get the second CD by itself get it.

First of all, the only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because of the fact that some of the songs have already been included in other ministry cd's, like " re rewind the crowd...", "rise" and "hazin' + phazin' "( this on appearing for the third time after Ibiza Annual and Clubbers Guide 2000) and the fact that some tracks are a bit too short. Cd 1 is Brandon Block and cd 2 is Tall Paul, the second one been a whole lot more interesting than the first, and the tracks are a bit longer. Stand out tracks: "something going on" , "killer" , "i'm in love", "in space" , return of nothing" and "freebase". It's also a bit too commercial, so you might consider getting something from Global Undergroung instead.
