the fries second album is a mind-blowing experience. constantly veering from space-funk to glam-rock to acid- electro (like the who of 1971 in space!) to tranquil acoustic ballads like 'london eye', it captures the legendary london space-cadets in truly transcendental mode. kool keith raps on 'supersonic waves' which just shows you their none-more out-there credentials, whilst dave 'flaming lips' friddman makes 'drowned world' sound like ... falling in a shower over a gleaming skyscraper in heaven. beautiful, cosmic, funkadelic, psycehdelia of the highest order, and i'm writing this sober! get it, because like they say,'the only passport you need is your imaginiation...'

regular fries come of age here with their second album, "war on plastic plants", a collection of mind expanding psychedelic music that crashes through boundries, styles and enforced prejudices. the album is produced by the fries in conjunction with dave fridmann(flaming lips, mercury rev), steve dub (chemcial brothers) and jagz kooner (primal scream, sabres of paradise). the record is relentlessly optimistic, a free thinking space walk of an album. in the yr 2000, surely all music should be this all-encompassing and uplifting? regular fries are winning the war... help them fight on...
