A great double-disc from Portugal.......2005-01-09

This two-disc set, as stated, is from Portugal and is definitely a fantastic addition to what might be a current onslaught of "Brazilian Chill" cd's that are out there. This one on the other hand delivers where others fail. It is truly, across the board, pure Brazilian brilliance from start to finish. It is quite beautiful, no matter what the setting - be it top down on a sunny day - you decide whether that means on beach or actually refers to driving ;) - or whether it's staying in late at night, on a rainy one as well, either by yourself or with that special someone. Very smooth, very sexy, very flowing, very liquid, very elegant. If you get the general vibe, you know what to expect. It's an awesome cd all the way around and one that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. So, get this while you can and treasure it for many years to come.

I'm no expert but..........2005-07-28

What I know about Brazlian music would fit on the back of one of Carmen Miranda's cigarette lighters (if she smoked, who knows) but this compilation is A LOT OF FUN! Its what you hope a Brazilian lounge cd might be - funky, a lit bit modern, a little bit retro and suitable (take your pick of the two discs- urban and leisure) for any time of the day. Impress your friends with your 'world music' perspective while keeping them happily tapping their feet as they munch on their stuffed olives and dream of speedos and g-strings on Copacobana.
