Heard it in 1980, Bought it 26 years later in 2006 - AWESOME!.......2007-06-21

Breakaway was a huge disco hit with many 12"-single extended mix versions out there, but so many other cuts on this album are listen and re-listen worthy. Breakaway's got a trememdous amount of "get up off your azz" energy to it, and the rhythm found in What's On My Mind and Don't Let Your Chance Go Bye will get you movin', too! BTW - I love that cut's title - Don't Let Your Chance Go Bye - grab the opportunities before you, by the horns! Want to find some excellent music that will timewarp you to 25 years ago? Music that still has relevence today? Get this CD - you won't regret it!

One of the cuts on this album is called Dimensions -- it is absolutely incredible, a real precursor to the best of inspirational house music, although technically it doesn't fit in that category. I found this wonderful LP in a 2nds bins in the 80s, and spent many enjoyable hours singing along and dancing to it. What a talent these two were... I hope that they are still making music somewhere.

Alfred Beasley and "The Watson Beasley Experience".......2004-08-14

Let me start off by stating that I appreciate everyone for purchasing as well as playing/promoting our music over the years. I worked very hard with Peter & Lois Alvis, Harvey Finkelstein, Steve Grossman,Jack Lenz(wrote music for the movie "The Passion" ), Malika which included: Harold Fisher, Warren Williams, Kat Dyson(Prince) to create music that was new and fresh for 1980....... I guess it worked because the music still stands up and has something to say in 2004.Whats on my mind is a slamming track........ the drums are hot..... Alfred Beasley Drums & percussion..... is that Alfred Beasley from Hughes High School/ Tennesee State University Marching Band "Drumline"?....Yes, Yes, Yes! ........ Now you know What's on my mind!
