This is a cracking release. CD1 is the best example I could give anyone wishing to know what the UK club scene is about. Some classic tunes in particular last song on CD1 Ian.S-This is my Sanctuary - WHAT A TUNE ! - a re-mix of this tune has been released on the Alex Gold - Ibiza Xtravaganza - album from radikal.com - a truly awe inspiring mix as this one.

Guy Ornadel has been one of my favorite DJ's for the past year and he still continues to thrill me with his mixing. From the start of disc 1 to the end of disc 2 Guy Ornadel gives you a rollercoaster ride of thrilling, beautiful, and dark trance. If you like this disc then check out one of his earlier mix cd's "Licensed To Thrill". If your lucky enough to have his "Progressive Sessions" mix (got it!) from MUZIK magazine...then you know what this amazing DJ is all about.

Ignore the Slinky name and BUY IT.......2001-02-17

So ya- i was expecting another Slinky compilation featuring every anthem of the past 3 months strung together like the rest of their series. Generally its a good idea to stay away from any gatecrasher, slinky or ministry compilation... but i saw Guy Ornadel's name on it and decided to check it out...

The first disc REALLY caught me by surprise... started off nice and trancey, becoming quite epic by track 5... then Guy pulls the rug out from under us and takes us on a ride into dark hard trance... REALLY not what i was expecting... pretty ballsy for a superclub to do. But it roxx!!

Disc 2 is more along the lines of what i expected... a more mellow journey through trance of the likes of John 'Quivver' Graham, Lucid, complete with several vocal tracks... quite nice, though vocals really don't do it for me all that much. Bottom line is, this says Slinky on it, but ignore the writing and just pick it up. Its worth it for the first disc alone :)

And, if you listen, you'll even hear a few pops of the vinyl... thank god they didn't doctor it up or mix it in the studio... authentic trance goodness :)

Almost Slinky........2001-07-12

From the beginning Slinky has always had 'style' and Guy Ornadel is no exception. Gaining status as a 'superclub' DJ is not somthing that comes from spinning some vinyl at your mates place.

I wouldn't give this CD 5 stars however as some of the tracks in the middle section of Disc one are a little flat, he makes up for this though with some great progressive/uplifting tracks towards the end. Disc 2, is pure chill and is perfect for when your in the mood for it, I have put it to use many times along with other Disc 2 instalments from Slinky.

Guy Ornadel is a very talented mixer and has unique style's that flow very well with the music output, definately worth buying.

I loved this cd from the start. It has the melodic trance which is great and then mixes over to some darker trance. Guy Ornadel is the best! This cd is also filed under "Superclub DJ's" in amazon.com.

Right Up My Alley.......2001-04-14

Guy Ornadel does it all on this album. It is a smooth pleasant mix of Deep-Progressive House intelligently sampled. This is exactly what I call an amzing set. You will not be disappointed with this work by Ornadel. I can only count 2 tracks that don't particularly attract my attention. Pretty good for a two CD set. Other than those two tracks, great work. The CD's contain lots of new tracks. Happy listening!
