Past Movements is a compendium of Stasis’ recording history, taking in his finest moments under his many guises on such labels as Peacefrog, Mo’Wax and Kirk Digeorgio’s ART imprint. The majority of these 12"s are rare classics and are now long deleted. From the beautiful and delicate heartfelt strings of "Point Of No Return" to the morphed disco electronic elegance of "Funky Purple Hot Pants…" these tracks are timeless classics that deserve to be heard by a wider audience.

Also included on this release are 10 unreleased tracks that for some unknown reason never saw the light of day! These include the dark brooding strings of "Alone", the painful romantic beauty of "Smooth Emotion", & the avant-garde soul of "Making A Connection" .The whole album contains the spirit of classic Detroit techno, while retaining Stasis’ unique and much forgotten sound. The music conjures up the heady times of Warp’s groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence compilation, which heralded the rise of the so called ‘Electronic Listening Music’ scene.
