Horrible Cover-Band Crap.......2005-05-05

This album is nothing but a bunch of really bad artists who got together and decided to cover club songs with a Casio keyboard and a computer. Very disappointing

Decent Gathering of US and UK Hits.......1999-09-04

Great sound quality enhances this disc, which will please fans of MTV's first few years. Very few non-white artists are featured, and many of these tracks were UK-only charters, though it's great to hear the Stray Cats, XTC, Blondie and Kim Wilde on the same compilation. One point of debate is the inclusion of "Stars on 45," which features an introduction not heard on the original (and VERY sought-after) single. Still, you get the main song, so there's nothing there to rip you off.

Have been looking all my life.......1999-05-07

I have been looking for the song "Stars on 45" all my life. I'm 23 and heard the song every year when my ffamily went camping in the early 80's. I went to the huge Virgin Record Store in Disney, Orlando Florida and they didn't even have it. I can't wait to hear this song again and relive the great memories!!!!!!

Interesting combination of selections.......2001-08-12

This CD has both strong points and weak points.

The strong points are including the hard to find songs such as Deborah Harry's "French kissin' in the USA" and Johnny Hates Jazz "Turn back the Clock" which is really quite good.

Other good selections include: Samantha Fox ("Touch Me") and the B-side Mr. Mister tune ("Kyrie")

HEY, ITS WORTH A BUY (but WARNING: some tracks are duds...)

This superb CD is more than great! It contains some of the coolest songs from the '80s, including Walking on Sunshine, You're the Voice and Here I go Again. I will order my copy right now!

Some really good hits here........2000-02-27

This 2CD set includes some very good songs that were popular hits, such as Altogether Now, Move On Baby, It's My Life, Because I Love You, and Ice Ice Baby. Finally, I can get Move On Baby (by Cappella) as a full original version! The reason why it doesn't deserve five stars is this : It needs a new cover design! What does the US President, the Gulf War, etc. have to do with the music anyway? :(
