This double CD compilation was named after the recently opened Parisian dining establishment Barlotti, and was compiled by DJ Millydemori. Disc one is an eclectic blend of beautiful down tempo melodies, cinematic 60s lounge grooves, cha-cha-cha, and samba jazz. Disc two is infused with uptempo rhythms of deep house/nu-jazz, uplifting European and Brazilian grooves, samba house, batucada and funk. Deluxe digi-box. George V label. 2003.

Barlotti is amazing!.......2005-01-20

After just coming back from a trip to Paris, I played all of the CD's that I took a chance on. I bought this CD while I was in the most awesome bar in the world...Buddha Bar

Out of all of the music that I heard that night, Barlotti stood out. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. Simply amazing stuff.

The Latin version of "Buddha Bar".......2003-08-25

I must confess...I have an obsession with buying any recording that is on the George V Records, home to my favorite lifestyle compilation series "Buddha Bar". I recently came across copies of "Barfly IV" and "Barlotti" in the used cd bins a couple of weeks ago at my favorite record store. Of course I immediately bought them. I must say that they are definitely different than the "Buddha Bar" series. "Barfly IV" is focuses more on the chic house vibe of the Parisian nightclub. "Barlotti" is named after another Parisian establisment. The vibe on "Barlotti" is latin-orientated. Just like the "Buddha Bar" cds, the "Barlotti" compilation has two different cds to fit each mood, one for dinner and the other cd for after dinner. The dinner disc has a more relaxed vibe. The after dinner disc has a more uptempo vibe. I found the latin vibe of the entire compilation to be different from the Asian-influenced sounds of the "Buddha Bar" series. Despite being different from my beloved "Buddha Bar", I did enjoy "Barlotti" quite a bit. DJ Millydemori did a great job at mixing the songs together. They all flowed effortlessly within a tight cohesive unit. I sure hope that like the Buddha Bar series, there will be another volume of "Barlotti" in the near future. Any wonders why George V Records puts out the best lifestyle compilations to date. The quality in music and mixing is hard to beat.

Same cake with diferent color.......2003-08-21

Hmmmm... does not worth it. In the cd 1 you'll find the 3 first songs smooth, nice samples and beats, the piano sounds great. But what shame from the 4th track and ahead. I dont know what some cool soothing rythms have to do with the usual brazilian samba-carnivalistic sounds. I think we're pretty tired of that. The thing is everybody does it, it's like a pop star song, you hear it even in your soup. Try something better....

IN LOVE WITH BARLOTTI.......2003-02-07

I was turned on to the unique style of these chill out CDs when I was at a designer boutique last year. Now I am a HUGE fan of the music. Since I own Buddha Bar 4-and love it- I took a chance on this CD since it is from the same label and it is FANTASTIC! The first disc is amazingly mellow; definitely perfect for any dinner party or when you just want to relax to some great music. It is reminiscent of NORAH JONES' CD!!!!! Mellow & stylistic. The second disc is more upbeat and definitely more global in its sound. I swear when I listen with my eyes closed I am whisked away ! Definitely well worth my money and a CD everyone should check out!
