Sounds of the DJ Hype.......2006-01-02

I thought this was a decent purchase. It includes the extra interview and 3 discs of worthy dnb. I am definately not as satisfied with these discs as I am with Dubplate Killaz or Recon 1973 but I do like DJ Hype no matter what he does since he displays talent within any track (maybe sometimes too much tho). Tarantula sounds good unmixed also (which I have as well) but I honestly think it sounds harder and quicker mixed by Hype and also there are enough good songs on the 3 cds that you could compile them into at least 1 really good CD.

Ok folks, I bought this liking DJ Hype and loving the track listing. But I was sadly disappointed with what i got. The volume level leaves much to ask for, not a lot of bass even with the bass boost on and it doesn't stop there. Just on the first track,"tarantula", with over a minute left in the track just when it really starts to tear the roof off MR. Hype decides to cut in slippery slope and you can't even hear tarantula really at all. The first 2 cd's are 60 minutes with 20 tracks each, with the first and last tracks on each being 5 minutes long and the rest being any where from 1:45 to 3 minutes. the third cd is only 30 minutes of music with the rest of the space on it devoted to a computer file for a DJ Hype interview and club footage. DJ Hype did a good job picking off the hook tracks but messed them up big time by mixing over them and scratching over them. Or just by only playing less than 2 minutes of them. BEWARE this will not be what you think it is. I was all HYPED up about getting this CD but now I can't even listen to it.
