Album Description

The title track of this CD shifts smoothly through TECHNO, DRUM N BASS, NOISY BIG BEAT, and HOUSE while SHIVERHEAD lays his heart on the line to all the girls he's loved before: "All my "ex"es versus ME: The Grudge Match Of The Century!" There's also an acidy alternate version by THE PROPHET NICODEMUS.

"Destroy Belief" originally appeared on 21st Circuitry's now out of print "Death Rave 2010"--a threat, a manifesto, a techno dance groove!

"UNSAFE" ,heavily inspired by THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS' acid house track,"Chemical Beats" (hey DJs! You can easily beat match one to the other!)is a remix collaboration between SHIVERHEAD and DJ/programmer/sometimes-live-SHIVERHEAD-keyboardist THE PROPHET NICODEMUS

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Shiverhead deserves more attention for his earlier works........2001-07-15

This CD is good, but not great. I've been listening to his older, underproduced music for quite a few years and when I finally found this CD, I was ecstatic! However, the ecstasy wore off once I got it in the CD player and hit Play. Shiverhead, on the whole, is excellent, but this just wasn't as good as what I was accustomed to. I'd heard "Destroy Belief" before on the "Death Rave 2010" compilation (which also has his cover of AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" on it, which is great fun). The title track is okay and so is the remix of it. I liked "Unsafe," but...it's no "Enjoy The Violence." Still, if you've heard Shiverhead before and this is the only CD you've come across, by all means buy it.

5 out of 5 stars MILWAUKEE, WI TALENT CANNOT BE OVERLOOKED.......2000-12-06

this cd does not even reflect the capabilities that shiverhead posesses. all in all, shiverhead has the ability to turn songs into epic questions. the strings of electronica and beating of a bass drum make this EP a force to be reckoned with. if this is only the first time anyone has heard shiverhead's work, it is truly a shame. the evolution of his music and maturing it has taken is remarkable. you never really know when he'll surface, but when he does, he throws an EP like this one in your face and says...TAKE THIS!

4 out of 5 stars Just Keeps Getting Better.......2000-08-07

Shiverhead just keeps getting better. I seriously recomend this CD to anyone looking for techno/industrial music. The artist that has been included in so many complications finally has a CD of his own. Buy this and you won't be sorry!
