As 1/3 of the groundbreaking act Underworld, Darren Emerson has been instrumental in the international rise and development of the electronic dance music genre. Even those with merely a passing interest in dance music know the Underworld story. Three extraordinary albums: Dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest In The Infants, Beaucoup Fish – selling over 1 million albums worldwide, hits including "Cowgirl", "Rez", "Born Slippy" and "Dark And Long", and remixes including Massive Attack.

The year 2000 saw Darren depart from the band. Although Underworld had been his passion for 10 years, he wanted to branch out, DJ more and work with producers he was meeting on his travels across the world. Since then, Emerson has cranked out collaborations with Sasha (the Ibiza classic "Scorchio"), remixes for Fatboy Slim and Space Invaders as well as spent time developing his own label, Underwater Records, signing artists such as Meeker, GusGus, and Tim Deluxe.

Whether it be Miami boat parties or Ibiza poolside sessions; Dylan Barnes and Rob Davy have been causing mayhem and making music together as Mutiny UK since 1996. Their sonically diverse releases have earned them both critical acclaim and fans far and wide. Including the likes of DJ Sneak and Masters At Work. Their debut long player In The Now represented the absolute apex of where hook-laden house music stands today.

Honestly... Just way too housey for me........2004-07-24

The first two songs on Darrens side are probably my most liked tracks, but the rest of the cd sounds like they just threw something together. Well i really wouldnt go as far to say that, because i do really like Emersons Dj technique, but i'm not a Disco House person. if you're really into funky house & crazy offbeat synths, you should buy this cd... otherwise save your $$$

A search for Deep Purple's "Smoke on [in] the water," brought up this title. I rate it only #1 because I could not locate the "Smoke on the Water" listing. Amazon seems to be having an indexing problem.

Underwater Volume 2.......2004-05-24

Save your money. This is without a doubt the worst album I have ever bought. Darren Emerson delivers a completely rubbish set, nowhere even near his usual standards. As far as mutiny goes, my ears are ready for a mutiny, I don't know how these guys even qualify to have there own mix CD, never mind charging over 30 Dollars for it. This CD right now is currently residing Underwater, as I chucked it into Lake Ontario after the first painful listen.
