AMANSET at its best.......2001-06-14

I have not had a chance to hear the band live, but included on this CD are two tracks of live performances that are very much worth the price of admission. Also included is a shorter version of Magnificent 70's that is a little more raw than the version from "From Our Living Room to Yours."

If you're looking for an Ace Of Base greatest hits cd, get this one. All the hits are here and the remastering sounds great. It's important to note that this cd includes the complete version of "The Sign." The other two greatest hits sets cut off the first note of the song. The only thing keeping this cd from being perfect is that "Cruel Summer" is a remix, not the U.S. single version. Other than that, it's all good. If you like Ace Of Base or just good pop music, please get this cd.

If there was one Ace Of Base CD to own, this is the one. This edition was released in Japan, as you can see that through the high quality packaging. Just like the title of this CD - "Singles of the 90's", indeed every single on this CD was a smash hit.

Although I liked every single on this CD, but there are top 10 I like the most: "Happy Nation", "The Sign", "Beautiful Life", "Lucky Love", "Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry", "Cruel Summer", "Everytime It Rains", "Love In December", "Mega Mix", and my favorite song by Ace Of Base - "Hallo Hallo"!

Greatest Hits.......2002-08-01

This outshines the U.S. one (as usual!). I have the German version on Polydor. It doesn't have the Megamix (really a medley remix), though. I still have the other edition because of the different versions.

This has it all...I like it.......2001-05-03

Ok this is like "The Immaculate Collection" that Madonna put out way back in the early 90's around the Blond Ambition Tour. Anyhow this CD highlights the best of Ace of base. This CD is not "Cruel" like the American verison is, which in the United States, some songs were left off, it Opens with a new song form Ace of base which is called "C'est La Vie". This Collection ends with the Mega mix that includes all of their hit. Here is a break down to all of the songs on this "Immaculate Collection"

1. C'est la vie (Always 21) well done song, very happy go lucky feeling. This is one of their new songs

2. The Sign

3. Beautiful life

4. Hallo Hallo (This is another new song, which is about coming home from work and seeing that one person who never see you. Very good song.)

5. Always Have, Always Will

6. Love in December (Another new song, that explores the year of two lovers, and how time has ran out. Well done Ace!)

7. All that she wants (This is the song that made them what they are today)

8. Living in danger

9. Everytime it Rains (This beautiful song that would have done well in the U.S. with the right promotion, but it was given a shot in the U.K. This is the edit of the American slow original version that is found on Cruel summer that clocks in at 3:55. This song also features Linn on full vocals.)

10. Don't Turn Around

11. Cruel Summer (This is the Big Bonus Mix that is found on the U.K pressing of "Flowers")

12. Happy Nation (This is some kind of edit, that clocks in at 3:32)

13. Lucky Love (This is the Version that is found on the U.K. Pressing of "The Bridge")

14. Never gonna say I'm sorry (Again this is my theme song, but its the Extended version of the album version, clocking in at 6:33)

16. Wheel of Fortune (This is the 7' version of the album version)

This CD is much better than the U.S. Version of the greatest hit, its a Japanese release, so that mean that it come with that so cool OBI strip that always falls off when you put the CD away. Its has a blue cover as you can tell by the picture above, I think that means that it was the limited edition or something. Anyhow I always listen to this CD when I'm getting ready for school, or doing homework, it makes it go by faster with Ace of Base blasting in the back ground. Its the Ace of base "Immaculate Collection".

Ace of Base has done it again. While in the works of album 5, they decided to release Singles of the 90's. More poppy and happy than the US version, it's explosive with euro-beats and cutting edge songs. Contains never heard before songs and time loved remixes. Overall, my favorite Ace of Base album!
