OLD SCHOOL HOUSE.......2002-09-21

Nice, a very back to basics house CD. This basically takes you back to the late 80's / early 90's and let you re-life the evolution of house.

I know, I repeat myself over and over but this CD truly is all about pure, uncut and unspoiled house, no weird drum-loops, no glow-stick trance like samples, just good solid soulful house, mix with the occasional afro/latino track.

Tres bien indeed. If you like dimitri and vocal house......don't hesitate, buy this.

Great House Mix!.......2002-03-02

This is one of my favorite discs of recent months. DJ Deep mixes together one great stomping house track after another. Many tracks have vocals, but they're not just the typical diva wail. They actually have soul. This set is much like one of my other favorite discs from last year, Mateo & Matos' "Inspirations." This will definitely get you moving!

Did I buy the wrong album?.......2001-12-01

I chose to give this release one star for one single reason. I was misled. After seeing so many stellar reviews here, I went to my local record shop and picked up this disc without blinking. It was even encouraged by a salesperson whom I trust greatly. Anyway, it's not what I consider deep house. It's house. There is a difference. Deep house does not feature fat divas on every track mucking up potentially good music with rediculous/dated vocals. IF YOU DON'T LIKE VOCALS WITH YOUR TRACKS, AVOID THIS RELEASE AT ALL COSTS. I'm not trying to be a jerk. It was my mistake. I suppose for the fan of more traditional house, this is great. Refer to the other reviews for that perspective. Cheers...

After a bunch of dissapointing albums this year the french have come to save the day yet again!!! I was a bit skeptical about buying it since it is a compilation mix cd..But my goodness!!!! it is sooo deep and soo delicious without too much of that horrible progressive crap that has been passing thru our ears lately..If you like deep house this is a must have ..buy it NOW!

This cd is the perfect definition of what house music is, if you want to explain this music to somebody, make them listen to this tune, everything is here... it's sensual in the sounds, rough in the beats... simple and complex at the same time.
