Album Details

With stores in Paris, Milan and New York, Barbara Bui is a clothes designer - often compared to Prada and Gucci - whose café in Paris has one of the coolest soundtracks in the city. Resident DJ Emmanuel Santarromana mixes electronic downtempo with deep jazz influences, producing a selection both casual and urban, much like Barbara Bui's clothes. Effortlessly hip tracks and gorgeous packaging make this the style statement of the year.

I thought this would be some bland compilation by a store cashing in on its name and capitalizing on the genre. I was wrong. Song choice and arrangement work very well. With a lot of these compilations, I am sometimes unaware of song titles and names of artists. I immediatley recognized tunes from other compilations I have. You will definitely enjoy this cd at home or in the car. Take it to your favorite restaurant that needs to get with program on their choice of muzak.
