80s throwback that's completely infectious.......2005-04-15

I heard this song on the radio, and was just like, "I HAVE to get this record." The US release has less mixes than the import singles, but it has the core mixes (although, there are two more mixes on the US vinyl single that are not on this single). You have the standard radio version, a nice extended version which gives you a few more moments of bliss, and the final "dead or alive" mix, which is Dannii's vocals over the ORIGINAL 12" mix of You Spin Me Round from back in the day. Although the song SOUNDS like "Spin Me" in its original form, there's something about this novel idea that just doesn't work for me. I love the dead or alive 12", I love the Dannii song, but superimposed on each other, they both lose their flavor. Not to mention there's no credit given for sampling dead or alive...which I guess doesn't matter, since Dannii is Kylie's sister, and Kylie worked with Stock Aitken Waterman, who produced Dead or Alive...

Dannii's "I Begin To Wonder".......2007-02-21

This single, released in March 2003, contains the Radio Edit of "I Begin To Wonder," the Krystal K Remix of the same track, and a B-side "Hide and Seek."

Overall, I give this 4 stars because although all the tracks are great, it seems like the remix of "I Begin To Wonder" drags a little much. "Hide and Seek" is an AMAZING track from Dannii, and it's a disappointment it did not make the cut for the Neon Nights album. But the track sounds so fresh that it almost sounds reminiscent of "Love Fight" from The Hits And Beyond.

Dannii does an ok job of this song, but it's nothing like the JCA version. Still, the song does merit 3 stars.

The unstoppable mini-minogue.......2003-03-23

Dannii Minogue has had a long career in music, tv and film and is well known in her native Australia and adopted home of England. Her music careeer has been patchy with some astoundingly awful directions (her cover of "This Is It" or "Coconut" spring to mind), however, when she works with creative types the results are nothing short of magnificent (her 1997 album "Girl" is a perfect illustration of what she is capable of with its dark, brooding disco sound).

"I Begin To Wonder" is a stomping return to form (complementing her previous chart hit "Put The Needle On It"). In some ways it's not really much of a song, with a verse and chorus sung over and over, and a refrain for variety at about 3 quarters through - but having said that, it's really a phenomenal deep disco pumper that will be hard for many to resist.

Dannii's elder sister is the amazingly successful Kylie Minogue, whose musical output has always been more successful and prolific, yet Dannii to my mind, when she makes the right choices, has always had more soul to her work.

I don't know really, making a cover of another dance song? also a song that was released just a year before. Is she out of inspiration or something, maybe. Dannii is good but far from her sisters limits, however i do like the song. Dannii is doing it well, a club hit atleast.

JCA is such a great artist and he is so under represented here in the USA. It's a terrible thing when you have to search far and wide in other contries just to find great DJ's, Mixes, or Music in general. I first heard of JCA through an online friend in Austria, and he sent me the 'I Begin To Wonder (Radio Edit).' Amazing! And it's not that Dannii Minogues Version is terrible (as some have said it to be on these reviews) it's just a little different, afterall, Dannii and JCA worked together on it. But in the end, I return to the original and JCA!

don't buy dannii's version.......2003-09-25

I've listened to the "I begin to wonder" track from JCA on my local radio station for the past year and then heard Dannii Minogues version on Howard Stern which sucked. JCA's is much better.

Catchy dance track, soon to be covered by Dannii Minogue.......2003-01-21

Like a previous reviewer, I also heard this flight on an SAS flight (to Copenhagen in October), and I found myself waiting for the tape loop to play the song again.

A very catchy dance song, with a beat reminiscent of songs from Dead or Alive's "Youthquake" album.

Perhaps with the March 2003 release of Dannii Minogue's cover (yes, Kylie's sister), the song will gain wider airplay. However, this is the version you want.

Great Track.......2002-12-16

I heard this on an SAS flight to Oslo,Norway, and the song just stayed in my head for the whole trip. This track is really good, I am shocked it hasn't been played on the radio here in the U.S. The remixes are not bad, they are very good, but the radio edit is best.

This CD single is smokin'!! The mixes are not offensive, but they are not as good as the widely listened to Radio Edit. They have a great record here...hands down!!
