5 out of 5 stars What a great worship album!.......2002-07-25

My whole family loves the mix of fun rock styles. The kids especially.

5 out of 5 stars It's one of the few albums my whole family enjoys.......2002-06-22

Worship Rock #1 has so many great songs- 18 or 19 I think. It's like two CD's worth. It's very fun to play in the car because the kids love the songs, but they're not just for kids. It has a down-to-earth feel that makes Worship seem just like a normal part of our lives, not all churchy with wierd words, because our family just isn't into that. I highly recommend it.

3 out of 5 stars Starts off good and hard, but softens up.......2002-07-23

Frostie is a veteran of the scene, so anything he touches should be gold...i really dig the way the disc starts, if you like techstep style jungle youll love the fact that he mixes 2 of the biggest choons to come out of the ram records camp ("hush hush" by shimon and titan by andy c, shimon, and ant miles a.k.a. ram trilogy) within the first 3 tracks...from there it gets a little jazzier and lighter (with a few exceptions, i.e. "messiah"), but it stays good and pretty fast throughout...i think its a good disc for someone who likes clean, crisp, jungle, but if you have been listening to jungle for awhile youll probably notice that a lot of these tracks are older and may even seem kind of dated, due to the fact that, a lot of artists in the genre (high contrast and dj marky come to mind immediately) are changing jungle and taking it in new directions and reaching new heights..id recommend the disc though, especially if,like me, you are a junglist stuck in america where there is very very little opportunity to see top jungle talent like jumpin jack frost

3 out of 5 stars Good selection, average mixing skill.......2001-07-31

If you wan't my honest opinion there haven't been too many drum & bass mix cds worth listening too-- many bootlegs and live broadcasts are much better... but I may be a little biased, because I'm hardcore into this music scene. If you are new to drum & bass it gives a decent slice of the selection going around in the UK maybe 8 months ago. If you like this check out John B (for some more jazzy flavor), DJ Patife & DJ Marky (Brazilian flavor). DJ Marky IMHO is the best to come out of the scene (ironically not even from the UK) in a LOOONG time. I would keep your eyes peeled for a new Volume of this Fine Tuning series with him starring. (or maybe Marcus Intalex-- he's dope too)

4 out of 5 stars Drum and Bass savior?.......2001-07-24

Well people are talking about this album being the fresh new sound of where drum and bass is going. Is it? I would say that thre is a whole lot of where we have been in where we are going. That is not a bad thing. You see when a music evolves it usually loses some of it's fans. Drum and bass has always been known for it's gritty style, and hard edge.

This album shows you what we Americans never really get to hear. The Brit's point of view of this genre. Super gritty, super hard, and pretty fast. But it all works together to produce a peak and valley type of 'dnb' album we rarly get. Wonderful and scary, sweet and spicy. The best in a long while.
