5 out of 5 stars great album.......2004-10-01

I fýrst lýstened to thýs musýc ýn a documentary ýn Turkey called Sýlk Road. I really lýked the musýc but could not fýnd out who the artýst was. I fýnally found the musýc today. It ýs great to fýnd some calmýng and hypnotýsýng musýc. I recommend thýs album to anyone who lýkes relaxýng musýc.

4 out of 5 stars Really different and wonderful!.......2003-01-14

Double CD-album...Soong Sisters track added bonus. Kitaro really feels what he plays, would love to hear him in concert! Favorite is the beautiful "KOI". Recommend this CD !!! Yes!!

5 out of 5 stars excellent !.......2000-04-16

Kitaro is a master..and this is a wonderfull collection.

5 out of 5 stars The Original Mellow Man is back!.......1999-10-05

A "Kitaro field" is when you are hit with music that is intensely tranquil, and beautiful. You just slow right down, and relax. This is Kitaro doing what he does best: beautiful, slow music. "Koi" is particularaly nice. "Dance of Sarasvati" has a kind of Carribean sound to it, and it moves for a Kitaro piece. "Lady of Dreams" ushers Kitaro into the world of rock. Jon Anderson's vocals blend seamlessly with Kitaro's instrumentation. The Soong Sisters soundtrack is Kitaro's first soundtrack. I would really like to see the movie now. You can really hear a movie in this music. The style is very reminiscent of James Horner's style, particularly "Braveheart" and "Dances with Wolves." Another good example of Kitaro flexing his abilities as a musician.

5 out of 5 stars THIS IS THE ONLY MASSAGE MUSIC I USE!.......1999-05-23

I've been a massage therapist for 3 years and I have tried other music, but I keep going back to this. My clients have told me that when they can't sleep they will think of my music and be able to begin the relaxing process. Silk Roads is my favorite song, and I say that almost every time (if I don't, my clients will remind me). That song touches my soul like no other!

Album Description

The Best of Dirty Dirty House Vol. 2 picks up where the celebrated 1st Volume began - exploring the inner reaches of some of the naughtiest House music around. Drawing on the grittier elements of Soul, Funk, Latin and R&B-infused jackin' House music, The Best of Dirty Dirty House Vol. 2 delivers the freshest sounds by some of the hottest producers in the underground club scene today.

From the bedroom to the dancefloor to the after party and beyond, The Best of Dirty Dirty House Vol. 2 is the soundtrack to all the beats that go bump in the night. And who better to mix Dirty Dirty House Vol. 2 then the DJ/producer duo John Digweed has labeled "the sleazy sound of New York," Astro & Glyde. Get nasty. Get funky. Get dirty. Dirty Dirty House!

5 out of 5 stars dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty HOUSE.......2006-03-31

Let me say that I am so happy that I bought this cd.
Usually I am not a huge fan of mix CDs because as a DJ
its hard for me to use songs that i like in my set but DDH2 is perfect,
not only because of the nasty dirty house music trax that fill this disc,
(fav trax include; Motivation, Freak Your Body 2x, Rock Da Nuggets)
but also the mixes are spaced out enough that i can easily mix the trax i want
into my set! I played Freak Your Body 2x on this past Friday
and the build up made them cheers, it was sick.
thanks to System Recordings for bringing these underground producers to the front of the line!!!
Great mix Astro & Glyde !!! thank you for my new favorite CD!!!

4 out of 5 stars Great CD!.......2006-03-29

Love all the tracks chosen for this compilation, especially "Motivation." Perfect for when you're getting ready for a night out, or for the afterparty, this CD has a little bit of everything, but it's all filthy, dirty house in every sense!

4 out of 5 stars Lovin the dirty vibe...........2006-03-23

First off, gotta love the name and the vibe of this CD. Astro & Glyde have outdone themselves as they turn the corner from that east coast progressive vibe and settle into the dirty side of house music.

All the tracks rock on this mix, and the mixing is fresh with lots of drop ins and overlays spicing it up.

Stand out tracks are from relative newcomers Jason Merle and Giano--both of them are sportin' a west coast chunk that is infectious and down-right..well...DIRTY!

Recommended!

5 out of 5 stars "2DH2".......2006-03-23

A nice attempt at a true house music compilation this time around by System Recordings as Best of Dirty Dirty House vol. 1 [mixed by Junior Sanchez] wasnt really what i'd consider house music, rather much progressive influenced by electro elements.

Taking control of the knobs on Vol. 2 are Astro & Glyde, a NYC producer/dj duo whos sounds come off banging and deep at the same time [on their tracks AND their dj sets !] and i'd have to say i was very pleased.

In a market thats dominated by big name artists most often than not taking credit for half-assed compilations with same tracks used over and over again, A&G takes tracks from some of the best up and coming talents in the house music genre and stretches its potential to complete the collage of this musical portrait. I can't say its "mindblowing" or "groundbreaking" here, but nonetheless the tracks are smart and should get the spotlight it deserves.

Matt & The Mammal's "New China Hustle " being one of my fav. in the CD, represents that perfect house track where it doesn't lean too much to a certain style, but delivers a smooth driving bass line with cool vocal samples and all the elements coinciding one another where it sounds as if they were meant to be on that track. Some other gems include Chris Cowie's remix of the Frankie Bones' track "Black & White", 2 Astro & Glyde's tracks, "Motivation & Dunt, dunt dunt", Nightrider's "Fevah" and the highly addictive "I Found Something" by Jay Allegro & Kevin Brown
to name a few.

Def. worth getting, perfect for the drive TO the club or to throw on at a gathering amongst friends and music lovers [hopefully !]. A&G 's Best of Dirty Dirty House vol. 2 picks up where other labels dare to even touch. Props to System for having the vision for such a project, its cool to see labels supporting the underground in a time where its so easy to cave in to the quick buck route and releasing crap commercial compilations. Peace.

      Product Description

Sacred Skies continues our introduction to the artists on AD Music. The CD is primarily a compilation of previously released tracks, (although there are 2 unreleased pieces) with a coherence defined by the label's vision and style. No ambient doodling here and no sugar sweet, new age wallpaper music either. Sacred Skies is an album of real power and emotion, a collection of rhythmic tracks highlighting the collective diversity to be found in the AD Music catalogue. The album has a slightly darker edge than volume 1, with some ethnic influences. However, the infectious melodies, ambient textures, cinematic tones, dynamic soundscapes and powerful, strident themes remain. If you like music to be creative, to be different enough that it doesn't fall easily into a category, to have depth and purpose, then you should find the music we have to offer just what you're looking for.
