An under-rated group of artists.......2002-04-03

This album is amazing. I first heard it at a friend's house about 2 years ago and was blown away by the brilliance of the lyrics and the way everything comes together so perfectly. I had never even heard of the band before that day. It seems to me that Eleven has not gotten the recognition they deserve for their work. It amazes me how so many talented musicians get passed up due to the emphasis put on boy"bands". Eleven is one of the many bands that does'nt seem to get the recognition they much deserve. Not just for being a great band, but for being artists.

To Much Talent For Gen X To Understand.......1999-02-28

Natasha has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, although she dosen't sing much on the CD. Live, this bands passion is like nothing I've ever seen. They blow me away musicly. I do believe thats why they haven't recieved the recognition they deserve. Yes there's hope there are true mucisians left in the world.

"Shake It Around the Middle" starts off well, and you think you have an idea of the sound you are to expect, until "Six Bucks A Handle" launches, at which point you are thrown into the full-on blues and beer assault that is Rylo, followed up by the equally energetic "Dontchu Call Me Baby".
Things slow down into the sultry "Post Time" bringing images of steaming streams of yellowing lights with brooding eyes from darkened bars. "Wrong" kicks back into Rylo's kinetic natural environment.
"Bullets" keeps up the brutal swagger, bringing us a cryptic female that 'drinks scotch whiskey from a frying pan'. 'Nine Steps' is a classical blues kind of tune, bringing drinking, infedility and brutality into an unshaven face through your speakers.
"Lip Stiffener & Chicken whitener" is an instrumental that lets you take a breath from howlin' along with these blues wolves, and then finalizes into the carny-barker celebration of "Freakshow".

This raw blues is going to light you on fire, and you should check it out right away!
