Editorial Reviews
Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, Tiko and Gitta have been ministering and singing their sweet, contemporary blend of Reggae and Dancehall music together for three years.
Born on the Caribbean Island of St.Vincent (and now residing in Trinidad), Lyndon (Tiko) Sterling delivers the vibrant dancehall flavor to the duo. At age nine Tiko gave his life to the Lord. By sixteen, he had begun his musical journey, chanting over dancehall beats for his schoolmates. Aptly dubbed the "Flow Master" by his friends, he can explode at the drop of a beat--spreading intricate rhyme patterns like wildfire. One of the quickest chatters heard in dancehall today, Tiko weaves lighthearted comedy and clever storytelling with his energetic, wild, and original flow to bring across very serious spiritual subjects. With a solid vocal tone similar to the likes of Sizzla and Yami Bolo, Gitta (born Denton Peschier), is the soul of this team. While the second half of this pair may initially appear shy, behind a guitar his spirit soars--hence his name Guitar Dan ("Gitta" for short). Raised in Trinidad, his humble and gentle spirit ignites when, mic-in-hand, his signature vocals sail across the choruses, perfectly contrasting Tikos fire spitting raps.
