I bought this in a hurry over lunch and am sorry for it. Kelly freakin' Clarkson! Boring, badly mixed with insipid lyrics... this is kiddie-trance. That's it, I am not buying any more US launched trance albums. Imports or nothing. Even iTunes knows the difference... instead of electronica or trance, it categorized this under 'Pop'! arrrrrrggggg!

Well...disc 2 is alright..........2006-09-04

This really IS not a good annual...well if your starting to get into House/Dance then you might enjoy this compilaton...i'ts a "Starter Annual"

Disc 1 is too cheesey with songs from Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, and Cascada...it's pretty mainstream...and well the remixes of Turn On The Music & Raindrops are HORRIBLE! honestly...only good songs on disc 1 are "Love on my Mind," "Your Body," & "I Like the Way."

Now Disc 2 is ok...not many cheesey songs...and some good trance from Armin...but the remix of "Darkside of the Moon" is just horrible...bla bla bla...no details...

well to get to the point~ dont get this if you already have an Annual 2006 from another country...cause chances are that the one you have is 10 times better than this one!

Back to the 80's.......2006-08-01

This is perhaps the worst Ministry CD I have ever heard. Not sure what has happened to the music/club scene in the UK, but this is like a time warp back to the 80's. Not good. Save your money and dig up Annual II & III and listen to them instead.

UK version is very good.......2006-07-10

I bought the limited edition UK boxed set with bonus DVD when it first came out (I'm in Australia), which has a completely different mix of songs on it, being great remakes of 80's and early 90's songs plus some modern stuff. Listening to the samples of the US release sounds disappointing, and I'd recommend anyone buying this set to get the UK release instead, with great songs on it from Techtronic, Jamiroquai, Bob Sinclair, Goldfrapp, Nirvana, and others. The DVD has some good music videos on it too.

Terribly disappointed with this 3 CD collection. Coming from Ibiza I expected better.

Good balance between unique style and strong hooks........2007-04-20

I own two ibiza mixes that were probably from 99 ' or so. They are some of my favorite music. I recently searched the term 'ibiza' and found more good electronic music with that term than i have ever. This mix has a good balance between authentic (not cheezy) melodies and rich sound design (watery bass and 303, and electo synth) , uplifting bass (but not too predictable), as well as energetic with vocal hooks that are slightly clubby but hold it all together with the human element that makes me percieve the music in waves of ecstacy.

I usually steer clear from purchasing commercially produced house, progressive, trance, etc. In this case, I took a risk and purchased this CD. Let me tell you, this CD is one of the best CDs I own! I literally NEVER take it out of my CD changer in the car, only if I'm over at someone's pad for AfterHours! Take my advice and BUY THIS CD! Track #3 will make you flip your lid! HA!

This is one of the few CD's out there where you can pop it in and let it play without skipping too many songs that have already been played out. If you're in to house music I would say this is a must have...

If you liked dance and some pop music last year and enjoy when someone ELSE compiles a list of great tunes and then mixes it well, get this! It is way better than the domestic version!!! And it is actually on two discs!!! First 21 tracks on disc one...

so much better than the US version.......2006-01-25

If you're looking to purchase The Annual 2006 by The Ministry of Sound, this is the version to get! Unlike the US version which only contains 20 tracks total [2 cds @ 10 tracks/cd], most of which are long, awful remixes [the remix of 'Dark Side of the Moon' on that CD made me cringe], this set contains 40 music tracks [2 cds @ 20 tracks/CD] and 20 music videos on a bonus DVD. Compared to the US version, the Limited Edition Box Set also has, in my opinion, a better selection of tracks--my favourite so far being 'Watchin'' by The Freemasons. Plus, if nothing else, the DVD contains the music video, 'Star to Fall' by Cabin Crew--that makes the album worth purchasing in itself--why can't flying be more like that lol...

I normally love any compilation MOS puts out but this collection is just lacking. I would recommend getting the regular version instead of this import.
