CD 1 is wayyy better.......2006-08-29

After listening to the first cd over and over it's definitely way better than the second cd. Cd 1 is mixed very well... my favorite songs ((standouts)) are Touch Me, Is It A Sin (the lyrics are really beautiful <33 haha), It's All Vain, Push Up, Strict Machine, and the cool house-disco vibe tune by Bastian. (I was too lazy to find the name of the song but it's on there). Disc 2 was kinda cheesy techno-ish music with the exception of If I Were You and Wrap Me Up (In Your Love). Those were pretty kewl songs. The most annoying song EVER though is Hear My Name remixed by Linus Loves. Why couldn't they put the Armand van Helden remix on there instead?!?!?! It seems like Linus Loves can't put out good songs (just listen to that annoying song Stand Back). The Nighttrain is also kinda annoying .. anyway, CD 1 is worth the money, but Disc 2 on the other hand, is so not.

What a disappointment........2004-07-31

I love MOS but this is the worst disc I've ever received from them. Sappy pop female vocal tracks, one after another. MOS usually has some great Spring/Summer albums but if this is Summer bring on Winter. What a disappointment. Some discs have to grow on you, I don't want have to listen to this twice. I was skipping ahead on the songs that all sound the same. MOS, what were you thinking, someone sleeping with the singers?

Very good compilation.......2004-11-25

This is a great compilation from tracks that were heard throughout this year in some clubs in Ibiza. I have to compare this to another Ibiza compilation that I own which is Club Nation Ibiza since it was also produced by Ministry of Sound. Most of the songs of CGTI are great and very mellow, not too hardcore (which is the case in CNI). I like most of the songs on CGTI 2004, but my favorites are The Joburg Theme and Mysteriosa. I'd say that this album is well worth buying just based on those two tracks, the only negative things I can think of are the price since it is a European import and a couple of tracks that could have been left out. Overall I'd say that if you enjoy lounge type music you'll definetely like this album (I like it better than CNI and another Ibiza compilation I own which is Paradise @ El Divino), but if you enjoy more hardcore electronic music then perhaps Club Nation Ibiza would suit you better. There are a couple of hardcore tracks on this album however such as Deiner Liebe Tisch and Sonor Frenchize.

One of the greatest from MOS.......2004-11-17

I do not have my discs in front of me, but I don't believe the track listing for this CD set is the same as what I have. I recall there being a great set of three songs at the front of one of the discs starting with "Somebody to Love" and then going into "Stand Back" (although this may be the third or fourth song). Either way, this set is one of those CDs that you can throw in and everyone will love it, even if they say they hate dance music. I have personally converted a few of my friends with this year's Clubber's Guide. All of the songs have a great beat with outstanding vocals, which I think is key. I've been listening to this CD since I purchased it in England in January and I can't set it down yet - that's how good it is! You won't be disappointed with this one!

For goodtimes insert CD2.......2004-05-02

This cd is worth buying if you like house music, if only for 2 tracks on the second disc. The first is "Good Luck" by basement jaxx remixed by tim deluxe, and then "stand back" linus loves feat sam obernik. Thats the reason i bought, the rest of the tracks are pretty good aswell, the only dissapointment was that some of the tracks were not mixed as well together as i would have liked.

I think I own most of the Ministry of Sound compilations that have come out in the recent years, and I must say that this compilation is "premo". The first disc has excellent high energry dance/trance tracks that will keep the party moving, among my favorites are tracks #1, #3, #4, #8, #9. The second disc has some old-style (but new) mellow groove tracks. I definitely perfer the first disc, but both are excellent. All the songs are fresh stuff, not stuff that has been on previous compilations (this is often the case with Ministry of Sound).

To put it simply a "must get" for anyone who even thinks about dance/trance. You will not be dissapointed.

Don't you want somebody to love?.......2004-01-21

Inadvertently chronicling the history of dance from year Zero, Ministry's right-on-schedule roundup of the funkiest, heaviest electro-tunes is probably one of the best in recent years. Out goes the radio-lite pop-dance of recent years (Ian Van Dahl and countless clones) and in comes a new breed of electro-trance. After a stale couple of years, the dance scene finally seems to know where it's at again. And few discs out this year do a better job proving that. There are very few "weak" tracks on this album - the ones that aren't present or future floor-packers are at least worthy of a nod in terms of innovation and originality - look no further than "Somebody To Love", "Teknoise" and "Cry Little Sister".
Seriously, unless you really really hate dance music, unless you'd prefer to listen to the Everley Brothers than the Chemical Brothers, make this an essential purchase for 2004. Even if it's the only electronica-themed one all year.
