Product Description
Veteran Dutch producers Pako & Frederik have been pegged to inaugurate Global Underground’s original artist’s repertoire imprint, Global Underground Music with a stunning 11 track outing that spans spectrum of cutting edge, funked-up, break-laced music.

Frederik bought his first house records at the age of fourteen, started mixing at the age of sixteen, and at eighteen he released his tracks under his own label Gyrate records. The same year, he entered the house party scene playing his first gigs. Soon after, he gained European recognition as a DJ - with appearances ranging from the UK to Italy. As a grafitti artist Pako was influenced by his record collection of mid- eighties hip-hop/electro; he soon broadened his musical outlook after being introduced to house music. This introduction led him to compile his own collection of twelve inches, resulting in his first gig in 1993. Production work in the studio followed soon after.

Pako & Frederik first crossed paths in 1992, through an introduction by a mutual friend. But it took a 1993 meeting to bring their two styles together. The place: a studio in the south of France. The result: the birth of their first collaboration (with Remy): "Vauvenage". From this moment on Pako and Frederik joined forces to produce numerous club-hits. Their musical style attracted many; gaining them a spot on playlists from international DJ's such as Carl Cox, Sasha, John Digweed, Derrick May, Danny Howells, and Derrick Carter and tracks included on compilations mixed by all of the aforementioned. This world-wide recognition soon led to numerous requests for their remix work. Live-sets and DJ-gigs have also brought Pako & Frederik to the USA, playing in cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and Orlando.

Catch the wave now, as Pako & Frederik’s Atlantic Breakers ushers in yet another era for the world’s most ground breaking electronic music label!

5 out of 5 stars Devine, And Sensual! .......2007-01-30

This is one of my favorite bands, ever since I came across them in '97.
They had an Underground release titled "Seaside Atmosphere", back then, and it absolutely Blew Me away!

This Album is no different! It may be Ambient, and dreamlike, But it is brilliant in all it's seams... As the Name of the album suggests, It is full of breaks, but they are Quite Extraordinary! They work really well with the deep and Cavernous textures in some of the tracks! Others, on this CD, Just plainly, sound great.

The CD Comes in a very Valliant, but simple package... No Jewel cases! It is sealed and packed, Firstly in a resealable plastic bag. Then the inlay cards are placed within a semi-transparent PVC Sleeve, And the CD...

Hats off to Pako & Frederik, for bringing something totaly different, yet astounding and ground shattering, to the world's ears...

5 out of 5 stars best chill CD i ever owend.......2007-01-04

i'm a chill\ambient fan (along with Jazz and DnB), i have quite a few CDs of ambient and chill but that cd is by far the best and most balanced of them all. it suits you when your walking out your dogs at night, when your laying on your bed and let's thought run through your head along with the tracks on mid-volume and you drift away.

i love all of the tracks by i thin that the very best are TIMFLEX, 45 MINUTES, ATLANTIC BREAK(ER)S and MAKE ME. i love it when the end track is so dream-like.

i must admit that even the cover was nicely done and i keep it as a poster on my wall. :)

if chill-out is your cup of tea, than this cd is for you.

4 out of 5 stars Pleasing Sounds to Chill Out.......2004-05-03

Good effort by this duo from Holland! There are many creative tracks on this cd and their tremendous ability to produce a classic Global underground mix album is kudos to two great artists. Keep them coming...please!

4 out of 5 stars Title.......2004-03-09

While I wouldn't go quite as strong as Richard Diaz on my review, I do agree it was a bit lacking. Everything fit together, and it sounded great; but it felt a bit lacking for some reason. I can't put my finger on it, every song that I listen to individually sounds great, and I enjoy it in it's own little way. Perhaps I just did put my finger on it there; maybe there's no highs or lows in the album. It's all pretty much the same feeling, not taking the listener up and down. At any rate, I did enjoy this album, and I would reccommend it to any house/breaks fan.

4 out of 5 stars A worthy investment............2004-01-25

Yes, I would agree somewhat with the previous review that claims this music is somewhat dated from the 90's. However, it is a perfect disk to put in and totally get lost in the beats and ambience. I find this cd to be a unique addition to the other dance music that is coming out at this time. On my first listen, I thought it was excellent (5 stars). Now, after 2-3 runs, I would give it a four star rating. Could of been better, but it still is one I'll return to from time to time. This cd is a worthy addition to my HUGE dance music collection. Good job GU Music!
