The Erotic Sessions..........2007-05-19

This is an ok compilation, nothing great or special, however it is better than a few others out there now. This is definitely a good collection of songs to play whenever you are in the mood, or to even put you in that special mood. "The Erotic Sessions" is a great companion to Sinners Lounge (The Latin Sessions), as well as the numerous Erotic Lounge compilations, but my only gripe is that some of the songs are recycled throughout these same compilations (i.e. Slow Down by Morcheeba which is also featured on the Erotic Lounge: Deluxe Edition). All things considered, this is a good compilation to have laying around to enhance those special moments, be it day or night.

Go to the Hiball and Swing!.......1998-11-14

For fans of new or old swing, lounge swing, and a touch of dixieland, and for those of us who can't get down to the Hiball Lounge in San Francisco, check out this compilation of 6 bands, all of whom do 2 numbers. Only 2 of them are sort of known (Lee Press-on and the Nails and Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers); Lavay Smith lives up to her reputation for smooth swing with a Dinah Washington lilt with her 2 songs, including a rendition of Blue Skies that I'm sure Irving Berlin would have loved. The original incarnation of the ACME Swing Co. is an off shoot of Lee Press-on's group, and they can boogie. If you dig down-home swing fresh from the 40's, with some fresh names, you'll dig this disc.

Here is Bruno!.......2003-11-25

Bruno (the famous dj from Ibiza) compiled and mixed another superb cd.
Good music for dancing and relaxing with a mixing starting from the jazz house to house grooves with some influence of brazilian and indian sounds.
The best moment of the cd it's between the song 3 (ZEB) to 4th (Plastic Buddha) and 5th (the mytic Archie SHEEP), the rest it's nice expeccially the 9th (Racoon feat Laury).
The hypnotic dance trance of the cd result a little flat at the end (for this reason i dont give the famous five stars).
But for sure one of the best of Bruno (balearic sound of Ibiza)

A Perfect Blend....!!!.......2002-07-09

What do you get if you mix the right amount of soul, funk..a little pinch of progressive and of course a prefect dose of deep house ??? You'll get this compilation !!!...Simply A masterpiece by Bruno. You might have heard his other well known great works in Cafe del mar vol 7 and vol 9, but this one I consider it THE BEST.
It starts of slow to ease the listener into the atmospheric journey, but when you get to track no.3 you'll know that you're in a special ride. Some of the best tracks are No.7, 8, 11. The best part of this CD is the soulfull-funk influence tracks that cleverly place to create this perfec blend. A perfect grooves for any occassion.

Album Description

Rossini, Tchiakovsky, Bizet and other "classics" destroyed with drums, bass and a fuzz box. 50 minutes of "funny" operatic parody ranging from "The Bride of the Valkyries" to "Stars-n-Strippers Forever." The Baroque Wind Sessions is Vinnie and the Stardusters' second CD, their sophomoric effort and the classical "art" theme is basically to make their mothers happy that their music isn't all just dirty songs.
