I wasn't so fond of euro or italo before but this one has changed my mind!!!!

More 80s full length dance tracks and 12" singles on CD!.......2005-09-06

This volume of the numerous "I Love Disco" series is heavy on more obscure European dance tracks (including several in different languages), but there are some big US tracks, like Paul Parker, Divine, the ORIGINAL Stock Aitken Waterman mix of Hazell Dean, and the original 12" of "Tell it to my Heart" by Taylor Dayne, which I've never seen on CD before, and which makes this compilation totally worth it! While some volumes are 3 discs, this one is only two. Track times:

Perfect Selection of Songs.......2000-10-23

This 3 CD compilation brings hard-to-find dance singles to one collection. Most of the songs are in full 12" extended version. This CD has many artists who were made popular in the 80's. Their music is still heard in clubs but have not been made available for many years until now. If you enjoy the Italo Disco sound of the 80's, this CD has Ken Laszlo, Reeds, Gazebo, Paul Sharada, Gary Low, and many more from Italy. Canada's "LIME" is featured with one of the best dance songs from 1983. "Angel Eyes" put Canada on the map for producing great dance music. One of the best singles on the CD is, "I Got the Feeling" by Two Tons O' Fun (later known as Weather Girls). Any dance music fan will be happy with this collection since most of the songs have not appeared on most of the other compilation CD's that have been released in recent years.

The folks over at Spain's Blanco Y Negro label just don't stop putting out incredible 80s European dance comps... this one focuses more specifically on Italo Hi-NRG. Yes, it rocks. Hardly any average tracks here... most long unavailable, remastered for collectors.

Get this right away if you are into the genre, you won't be sorry.

i bought this cd because of 2 songs (sahara night and square rooms).The rests of the songs in this collection, well, only interesting on first listening.

Crucial for US collectors of 12" dance singles on CD for two reasons..........2006-07-18

Volume 2 of this series is worth the price for two tracks that never seem to make it to CD--the full 12" version of "She Works Hard for The Money" by Donna Summer (rather than the long album version), and the 12" version of EG Daily's "Say It Say It." Oddly, the version of "One Night in Bangkok" on here is not the 12" version, but the soundtrack version that includes the long orchestral intro.There are only about a half-a-dozen songs that actually made a dent on the US charts here, and then it is predominantly European hits (some of them sung in different languages), but there are a handful of great eurodance and new wave sounding gems. Spagna (who only had a dance chart hit here with "Call Me") gives us something that could compete with a Dead or Alive hit any day, and the song "Square Rooms" by Al Corley (of Dynasty fame) is pure 80s crossover new wave. Disc 2 is filled with some of the biggest NRG cheese around, most of it sounding like second rate Bobby O productions.
