I agree that Jackie Moore's "This Time Baby" is a great, near-forgotten tune; however, the same can be said for Karen Young's "Hot Shot". Another one-hit wonder.

This a superb and generous collection of dance-era classics. There's a nice variety of sound and texture across this set. Most selections are full-length, which is very important to us die-hard 70's club music fans. If you have not ever heard Jackie Moore's monumental contribution to classic disco, "This Time Baby," do not deny yourself one minute longer. It is the "absolute bomb."

Can't believe two others said "get this for the Jackie Moore song." That's exactly why it's been in my cart. There are about a dozen songs that transport me back to the dancefloors of the late 70's when I was a disco twink. This is one of them. Absolute perfection!

This album contained the only remaining song in my list that I had not yet purchased in CD form so I was very happy. There were some other songs that were enjoyable so that was an added bonus. Now, if only someone could produce Eddie Daniels's "Morning Thunder," Eloise Laws's "Eloise," Lonnie Liston Smith's "Gotcha," and Wilbert Longmire's "With All My Love" in CD form then the entire search would be over.

Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, etc. who can ask for anything more on one CD? I brought this CD and I didn't listen to it at first but after sitting down and listening to it from beginning to end, while surfing the net at home after a hard day at work, I was so relaxed listening to "Distant Lover" by Marvin Gaye among others, the next time I cook dinner for my lady and I want to play a CD to set the mood, you best believe it will be this one!

Most cuts are reproduced here in their edited 7" versions. However there are 4 full-length extended mixes..these are: Bob McGilpin "Superstar", D.C.La Rue "Cathedrals", St Tropez "One more minute" and the Ritchie Family "Life is Music"... Probably worth purchasing for these tracks alone..

Prelude is one of many labels to offer GOOD disco stuff and this compilation could offer more than this! "You are the one for me" by D-Train is not included here and it is the best tune from Prelude. Maybe vol.2 can have it. Then this is 5 star compilation series.
