Good, but be carefull ..........2001-12-28

This set on Hypnotic is the SAME as "The World of Goa Trance Volume 3" on ZYX (CDDB will even report it as the latter).

Screw the first CD, keep the second!.......2001-06-08

This is a decent collection, but not much more. The first CD was fairly mediocre. I though it was too mellow. It would be good music to go to sleep to. The second CD, however, is actually pretty damn good. In particular, the fourth track is great. There are a few bad tracks on the second cd, but the majority of them are great. The mixing is also a plus. It's really annoying when you listen to a techno comp and there are big pauses between songs.

Buy this for the second CD.

Yes, the music on this collection is fast and purely electronic as advertised on the cover. For some reason though, it doesn't have the same impact as some of the more recent trance/acid compilations. If you like fast trance techno, feel free to take a chance on this 2 CD set...it's actually not that bad. There are a few quality tracks on it. I still recommend Astral Projection's "In The Mix" compilation as the best in this genre of music, but "This Is Goa Trance" is a decent buy for those of looking for an additional fix.

One of the problems with trance and techno is hearing the same tracks re-mixed over and over. Welcome to "This is Goa Trance", which is a full speed compilation of extremely original and solid trance tracks that opens the door on a new experience in melodic Trance music. This 2 CD set never leaves 5th gear with the very clever non-stop mix by DJ Spokk & J.K. Meedom, which should be praised for creating a one of a kind. This is high energy and will keep you moving. Goa Trance is sure to make its way to the top of Trance Music.
