Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars SOLID HOUSE RELEASE, GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR $$$.......2004-07-30

Like the acclaimed HED KANDI CD series, this STEREO SUSHI provides more bang for your buck, collecting otherwise hard-to-find and costly $$ import house 12's onto CD format for the first time - many many stunning, lush, deep, rich house tracks to choose from, but WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION if only for the uplifting BLAZE SHELTER VOCAL MIX of JAMAICA UNDERGROUND's gospel house anthem LOVE EXISTING, where new vocalist JOHN LEWIS (who is this guy?!) gives a truly SEARING, RAW, INTENSE vocal/falsetto/scat vocal performance - right up there with CECE ROGERS, KENNY BOBIEN, and TEN CITY'S BYRON STINGILY, if this track doesn't get your hands in the air, you don't have a pulse.
BOOM!

5 out of 5 stars UFFF MARK DOYLE ITS THE BEST.......2003-03-14

a good selection , a good taste , a stylish house ,

5 out of 5 stars Stereo Sushi 3 is the best 'Sushi yet!.......2002-11-12

Often, multi-volume dance compilations suffer esthetical decline with each consecutive release. Such is not the case with the "Stereo Sushi" series. "Stereo Sushi 2" was much better than "Stereo Sushi", and "Stereo Sushi 3" is the most soulful yet.

The multi-talented Jody Watley makes a second appearance in the "Stereo Sushi" series with the superb "Photographs", and disco legend Linda Clifford churns out another classic with "Sunshine". Also, legendary jazz vibraphonist Roy Ayers makes an appearance as a featured guest on Ferry Ultra's "Dangerous Vibes".

The remix work featured on "Stereo Sushi 3" is no less integral to the compilation than the artists. Phil Asher's Restless Soul remix of Jody Watley's "Photographs" is excellent, as is Blaze's Shelter Vocal Mix of Jamaica Underground's "Love Existing". Also, Lenny Fontana does an outstanding reconstruction of Stephanie Cooke's "I thank you".

Aside from the tracks already mentioned, standouts from the compilation are Kaskade's "What you are to me", Jon Cutler Feat. Sarah Anne Webb's "Dawn", DJ Mood Feat. Mood Rotation's "Morning" and Groove Junkies Presents Solomon Henderson's "Inside My Soul".

It is interesting to note that included on "Stereo Sushi 3" is a cover of Inner City's "Goodlife" by Kaori. This song is one of the grand staples of early house music, and while this cover falls seriously short of the original, it is a pleasant listen nonetheless.
