    Album Description

Bristol-based bedroom production virtuoso SJ Esau's Anticon debut is a masterful balance of songcraft and sonic manipulation. Spanning twelve alternately expansive and explosive tracks, Wrong Faced Cat Feed Collapse treads the common ground between Slint, Arab Strap, Fog, Sonic Youth and Mogwai (with Fennesz and Jim O'Rourke lurking in the shadows), which is to say, it's an album that successfully integrates genre-less exploration, detailed composition, inspired collaboration, and a sense of humor.

5 out of 5 stars A must have for music lovers.......2006-11-16

This is a high quality CD.I 'm proud to have it.

5 out of 5 stars The BEST album of 2003.......2004-12-15

At first listen, this album blew me away. It is so damn smooth. It's one of those albums that you put in the player, and you never have to skip a track. From start to finish, it's an amazing piece of work. The beats are addicting themselves, but add AGENT K's keyboard work, and some amazing vocalist cameos, and you've got the BEST album of 2003. The vocal harmonies on "Drive Away" are stellar. If you like jazz, funk, electronica or if you're just looking for some great background music, this album is a must.

4 out of 5 stars get this says me.......2004-07-31

If you're familiar w/ broken beat all I can say is this is the best album in the genre I've ever heard. If not, basically this is electronic dance music w/ soul, funk and a little bit of jazz influence. Mid-tempo stuff that is very danceable but interesting enough for home or car listening too. Sometimes it's a tad on the 'jazz-lite' tip but it mostly avoids that. Reminds me of Headhunters at its best and it doesn't get much better than that IMO.

      Album Description

Possibly the weirdest track off the West Coast punk's (called the 'satanic Hives') 2001 album, 'Mono'. For fans of Drive Like Jehu, the Murder City Devils & At The Drive-In. The title track is backed with '1970', 'Kill Cupid With A Nailfile' & 'SPMC'.
