Much a Bbuzz about "Buzz".......2006-02-06
This album is indeed an amazing piece of "work" and this comment is indeed not "infringing on any property rights", just the other way round in fact... as you will see for yourself by going to the French electro and new-wave site nordwaves.info/musique/buzz/discography.php, and checking out their radio blog, Carretta's track number 9 - "Buzz" - was entirely pilfered from the repertory of the 80's French minimal synth-pop cold wave combo named... would you believe it ?... BUZZ. The original track released on Dancetaria Records around 1988 was entitled, incidentally "Berlin" and Carretta obviously hum... "borrowed" the entirety of the original lyrics and tunes... and I am currently taking legal action against the guy, BUZZ being still active and about to issue two compilations of its early years (1984-89) and a brand new CD, supported as they are by their long-standing friends Anne Clark and Gary Asquith (Renegade Soundwave, The Lavender Pill Mob), two other rather evident references of that Toulouse moustachioed and oh so creative and original DJay... so this buy is a must before the record gets taken off the circuit for legal reasons and about to become a collector's item, you've been warned !!!!
Weird!!.......2003-01-26
One of my favourite albums ever! Recommended to electro, techno, and hi-nrg lovers. The whole is an amazing work of retro-futurism. It's a long time ago since this album was edited firt, since then Carreta has publishied other material also fantastic.
I repeat A MUST TO HAVE for any electro-techno lover.
