Masterbeat does it again. This is pretty much a flawless mix of peak vocal and trance, and some hard to get on CD mixes appear, like the 11 minute version of Are You Satisfied, and 7 minutes of Melancholy Rose. Plus, the bizarre but beautiful track Bobby clocks in at 10 minutes. Track times:

Did you miss the White Party this year or do you just miss not being there? Well, now you can re-live the weekend "officially" with the official White Party 2001 cd from Masterbeat, mixed by the closing party DJ himself, Brett Henrichsen. The nice thing about Masterbeat cd's is that you don't get cheated out of a song, with the cd clocking in at 73 minutes and only 9 songs, you get full listening pleasure. The opening number, Dawn Tallman's joyous gospel inspired "Wake Up", will have you believing Jesus is dancing right there with you, moving swiftly into this millenniums' top two new circuit classics Victor Claderone's "Are You Satisfied?" and Byron Stingly's "U Turn Me". From here on, it's time to trance out, so sit back and let the music take you away with songs like Lucrezia's "Looking For Love and Zelma Davis' "Power". Suddenly out of nowhere Agnelli & Nelson's "Embrace" will hit you like that wonderful unexpected gush of cold air from the fans on a hot dance floor, its also the only song with out lyrics on this disc. And to close out, Mr. Henrichsen has left us with the uplifting "arms around your brothers" anthem from Ananda Project "Cascade of Colour".

This has to be my favorite dance cd of the summer, and I buy them all. I've had it in my car since I ordered it last month, and I'm still not tired of it. The songs are amazing and the mixing flawless. The great thing about this disc is it is full of the hit club songs you just can't find anywhere else - and the cool thing about Masterbeat is they give you the full 8-10 minute mixes of each song - not edited or cut short like some discs - so you here each of these DJ mixes just like at the dance clubs and parties. Some songs are those ones you've heard but never could find on CD - like Embrace, Bobby, and Melancholy Rose. This CD is a must-have for any dance lover who likes high energy, happy music, with a lot of vocals.

Better than the White Party.......2001-08-30

DJ Brett Henrichsen's debut CD is genious and a perfect example of his signature style of high energy vocal club music, creatively mixed. After attending this year's White Party, we left wishing DJ Henrichsen had spun every party. His Closing Party set was the highlight of the weekend, and this CD is a sampling drawn straight from that legendary set. The CD includes all of the current dance hits, with many extended mixes previously unavailable to the general public. In fact, a few of them will most likely be songs you've been dying to find but didn't know the name or couldn't find them anywhere - especially Agnelli & Nelson's Embrace, which is perfectly mixed here right after the haunting and most requested anthem "Bobby." Definitely a must buy CD. I can't wait for the next disc from this new DJ star.
