this was the 2nd cd in a two for order i recieved from Amazon by
Alvin Lee. this truly is some good "old school" rock n roll. i wish more people would get to know the music of Alvin Lee. he really got very little air play in the U.S. but he is well worth the price of admission. listen to him for good old fashion rock n roll. great cd.

Another classic Alvin Lee album.......2003-08-31

Somebody's Waltz is one of Lee's best instrumental works. Ain't Nothin' Shakin' is absolutely frantic guitar and bass interaction. Baby Don't You Cry No More is one of his catchier tunes also. A must for any Alvin fan.

Excellent C.D........2000-08-27

This is a must c.d. for all Alvin Lee fans,I forgot how well Alvin sounded on this one. His driving rythem guitar along with Tom Compton's drumming are a great mix, especally on Ain't nothing shaking.If you can get past just listing to Alvin's blistering solo, listen to Tom's superb drumming.The best C.D. I have bought in some time. I'm no music critic, I just love to listen to GREAT music and I would highly recommend this one.Try it and you will not be dissapointed.

Consider it abrasive--so abrasive that were one able to somehow bottle this album, it would easily remove even the most resistant, ahem, grunge. It is indeed quality K.C. (Kansas City) noise. Were Fugazi less dogmatic and more psychotic, they'd aspire to sound like this. Guitarist/vocalist Scott Durgin uses his instrument like a screaming buzz saw, cutting a path through the thick tangle of the battling rhythm section. His voice is that of an apoplectic drill sergeant gone blue in the face, spittle dotting the corners of his taut mouth. Consider It Contempt is fiercely angry and aggressive. It is ugly and jagged.
