First of all, let me not front! When I saw the album in the shops, cover art not compelling, and with the name BIG MUFF, all I could think of was why, but just one listen and the music won me over! Francois K & Matthias Heilbron bless track 1, MY FUNNY VALENTINE as the Body & Soul Remix). That 4/4 rhythm, that vocal, that horn. WHOA! FEEL WHAT YOU KNOW, remixed by Bob Sinclair shines. What sounds like an annoying intro transforms into a psychedelic, hypnotic groove. Work that Sinclair! Vous etes l'homme! (You da man - for all you non-french speakers.) POPPY'S SONG (Itaal Shur Remix) toys with reverb, trip hop, and dub style elements. Da track is Irie, ya see! For the experimental in you, listen for the DnB Dub of FEEL WHAT YOU KNOW, track 10. So cop this album primarily for the track 1, this Body & Soul Remix is like CATS, a classic for yesterday, today and forever!

Remix album of "Music from the Aural Exciter".......2000-03-11

Standout track on this EP is the Body & Soul Remix of "My Funny Valentine." Conspicuously missing is Joe Claussel's reworking of "Feel What You Know" which is simply a stunner. There are some other decent remixes on this album, but overall I was not impressed. Buy the regular album if you must.
