Another good European tribute to the best band ever.......2004-06-28

This is so awesome. The Cure is my favorite band so naturally I had to give this cd a chance, given that I am a fan of goth music. I have never heard of any of these bands before...not one but I have to say they are all almost perfect. Normally there are always a few "questionable" covers on a tribute not not here. The other really good thing is the song selection. Only a few expected covers were found here, Lullaby, Just Like Heaven, and Killing an Arab. The others are mostly from The Cure's darkest era: 1980-2(Seventeen Seconds, Faith & Pornography). Thats my favorite era too. There are hard versions, mellower versions and mostly good surprises. I love this cd and its worth the import price. Another good Cure tribute to check out is "Strange as Angels" by Projekt Records. Its got another good song selection and is absolutley a must-have in addition to this. If you like Type O Negative I suggest you try the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" Tribute cd as well...released by the same record company and equally good. Nuff said.
