woah what a cd!1!.......2006-12-30

if you were to own one electronic dance cd,this is it. this mix is unbelievable. it starts out with some driving psytrance into some banging acid house,then comes the breakbeat,some straight up techno followed by subliminal vocals. keoki really takes you on a journey with this one! his mixing is flawless,showing you why hes one of the greatest djs in the world. this cd is a must have!1! i first heard it in 1996 and it has no problem standing up to the test of time. i still keep it in regular rotation in my cd player. you will not be dissappointed with this mix!

I have a special place in my heart for this cd, it is THE first electronic cd i ever bought. Sure it has cheezy parts and its dated, but its is definately FUN. It is also an incredibally fun walk down memory lane. You could not get away with playing the songs now to the general public, but if you like to nod your head ans smile from ear to ear while driving down the freeway then this is 1 for you.

In the mid 90's keoki was God. Without him i have no doubt that electronic music would be at least 30% less popular in the US. I know i would not have given electronic music a second chance if it was not for him and this cd. Other dj's should never talk bad about this unbelievably 'off the beaten path' yet incredibally talented individual.

This cd was made back before dj's 'mixed' their cd on computer programs that we now have to come to love and enjoy (pro-tools, and tractor), so the mixing on this cd is truly legendary.

His other cd's are hit and miss, but you cant go wrong with this tru oldskool classic.

One Of DJ Keoki's Better Albums.......2005-08-05

Although I still find some parts of this album repetitive and boring, there is enough here to cheer about. It does have a few winners on it, surely. The best song on here is the opener by Cranium HF. The 30 second sample doesn't do it justice. Check it out.

This is a great album, to say the least. I once owned it but then lost it and have been regretting it ever since. It's such a classic. I need to go buy another copy of it.

Kick Ass Techno.......2005-05-09

This dj is known for his acidic,hypnotic beats,and mixing all funkdified sounds together.I'd get this cd just to listen to the speed racer song...damn ,that track will get you all tweaked up and ready for the night.This is the only Keoki cd I'll own because the others are worth crap.This is yet another essential dance album

My daughter, April, loves "Inside Out" by April McLean. We have only heard it off of the Mercy Project album and havn't been able to locate it localy as a performance track. My favorites are "Kiss of Heaven" by Darlene Zschech, "Sanctuary" by Michelle Tumes, "You'll Get Through This" by Martina McBride, "Love Won't Leave You Now" by Point of Grace, and the very touching and poignant "Inside Out" by April McLean.

This album is also a great way to hear lots of Christian music artists...

I enjoy the CD. I like it a little more each time I listen to it. I especially like the more upbeat songs like Kiss of Heaven and New Eyes. I would recomend!

i wasn't sure what to expect from this cd but i must say that i was plesantly surprised. the whole cd is good but the one track that stands out is martina mcbride's song called you'll get through this. she is one phenomenal singer and this song is truly inspirational. her vocal performance alone makes this cd worth having.

Disc 1 is for fans of the happy, uplifting vocal circuit music Julian Marsh is known for spinning. Surprisingly, there aren't so many cover tunes here. Oh L'amour is an interesting choice, considering there have been more modern remixes done of the original Erasure version, but I guess rights issues got in the way. With a concentration on NRG vocals at the beginning, the disc winds down to more instrumental, airy trance stuff at the end:

CD2: is an old school feel of hiNRG...including some covers-I Am What I Am, And I'm Telling You, and the Jacksons' "Can You Feel It" (pretty hot remake of an awesome original track, this time with a female vocalist) and even some original old school tracks thrown in, including Aretha and Sylvester. Unfortunately, the concept of mixing different eras of dance music seems like a lot of fun in theory, but there's a drastic change in the quality of sound when the disc segues from the new stuff to the older stuff. Technology has done wonders over the years for the fullness of dance music beats and bass, and it shows. The energy just dies at the end of this disc, and then is suddenly revived by the last song by Dr. Alban, which is pretty hot.

Excellent mix, shame about the crowd.......2002-12-18

Do you really want a crowd chanting "the roof is on fire" and making oo oo noises over some of the best music from Salsoul, mixed and presented extremely well in most parts by a legend? No, nor would I. Take the crowd out and you have 5 stars, it makes an excellent mix CD very difficult to appreciate in parts so be warned.

I was more than satisfied with this mix -- brings back memories of the good old days -- Lincoln Park, Hollis, Baisley, etc. -- jammin at night in the summertime (sneaking out the house and getting in trouble afterward). This CD is awesome!! It is a MUST Buy for us 30 and over folks -- remember the hustle?? If you are having an old school party this is defintely a cd you would want to play. My question is When can we expect Salsoul Jam 2001 and 2002??? I am anxiously waiting.

... So I went into a discount/used CD store, and I saw this CD. I bought it...

I drove from Dallas, to Austin, to San Antonio...and I think I played this CD in the car practically all of last week. The volume was pumped all the way up, and I just had a ball listening to it. And the recorded, intimate party crowd only enhances the CD. It makes it seem like you are at the party with them.

This is a CD I will treasure always.

Oh brother, it's like listening to the top fourty countdown! Some of the songs are good, but they're just thrown together. This compilation would have been better if they invested more time in picking out the songs. Disco, dance and pop music don't belong on the same cd together! But that's my opinion, to each his own.

This funky CD of Disco music is something worth checking out. Listening to this collection will just make you want to get up and dance. A Difficult to Find Album.......2000-10-17

I love Boney M since I was kid and up until now their songs are still wonderful to listen to ! This album presents some of their best collection hits plus some remix versions worth buying for. Album like this is hard to be found even in a big music store. If you are looking for the collection hits of Boney M in one cd set and include the remix versions as well, this CD is absolutely the one !

Dance hall beat music together with Frankie sounds. Toe tapping good beat.Enjoyable. I just wished Frankie wrote more songs other then just three to four he wrote which all his CD's play.

As far as Dance mixes go..........2002-06-22

Frankie in the mix, well not an interely new thing is it? These are trance mixes done by Rob Searle and lots of college's, like Paralyzer. The Frankie songs turn out to be very mixeable and are transformed to the dancefloors of today. That proves that FGTH songs do have a lot of spirit in them ! Credits goes to the DJ's who have done a good job. Caution if you want mixes like Trevor Horn did in the 80's this is not for you. If you are open minded towards EuroHouse than this double cd is the thing to get. Conclusion: A nice blend between Frankie and EuroHouse

I bought this 2CD set in a record store and was reluctant -- new mixes can sometimes do injustice to the original mixes. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide array of mix types (from quiet to loud, from instrumental to vocal). I especially like th Paralyzer mixes. Long story short: I haven't stopped playing in my car for two weeks straight! If you like(d) Frankie, I highly recommned this new collection. I also recommend buying the 2CD set called "Twelve Inches" (or "Welcome to the Twelve Inches" or "12 Inch Archive"); that collection has the original remixes and a few rare oddities.

If you have even the slightest memory of the eighties music scene (remember the one that became old as fast as it was called "new?") then you will definitely enjoy this "housified" version of FGTH's golden tracks. The entire compilation has not one dull moment. It is truly entertaining, and ingeniously put together in delicious new flavors, but without losing the FGTH soul, wit, and candor. This is a definitely great buy, and you surely won't regret this blast from the days of camp and high glam. If, however, you prefer the way the songs were originally intended to be heard, back in the days of what may be fondly called the old wave, then get the "Reload: The Whole 12 Inches" album instead.
