For a non-Indian, I was very impressed with this soundtrack. Great catchy tunes. Loved the movie and decided to buy the soundtrack. Before this movie, I used to make fun of Indian movies because I really found it hallarious that at various parts of the movie all the people would all of a sudden break into this elaborate dance (making most of the movies a kind of very elaborate, somewhat cheezy musicals). This movie was a great spoof about Indian films but it was also a great Indian movie itself with a typical Bollywood plot. Anyway, I loved it, so well done and funny.

Nice mix of songs -- both peppy and slow.......2007-03-10

I enjoyed the movie and loved the music, so I bought the soundtrack. My family loves this soundtrack (including my daughters, 4 and 6). It has some fun, peppy songs and some slow solos (there are two, each with a male version and a female version -- so you're getting 4 slow songs). I prefer this soundtrack to Bend It Like Beckham, which I thought had too many Anglo-pop songs for my taste (and the strange addition of an opera piece). Monsoon Wedding is another great soundtrack.
