Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Pretty and Scary. Pretty Scary.......2005-01-25

I'm afraid of this album, it is haunting that I like it so much. She really goes nuts on a few tracks and those are my favorites. The way she toys with a banjo mixed with some electronic experimental makes it really fascinating to listen to for any hardcore music fan interested in hearing something unique and out there.

A good friend turned me on to this, and I didn't know what to expect, what I got is somewhat of a Residents feel, with a little bit of Aphex Twin and the singing stands on it's own as being both strange and alluring. You can't help but marvel at the lyrics this girl comes up with. She manages to have an interesting sense of humor and color the background with an array of pulse pounding and driving beats.

So if you enjoy stamping your feet to the music and combine it with a good hearty laugh, I would check this out.

5 out of 5 stars great album, and weird to boot!.......2004-10-06

I recently bought this album from my work; i special ordered it like 5 months ago, and finally purchased it cause i recently had b-day money. i have to say she has a very unique voice, and the some of songs are pretty well done, all the songs are great, but some are a little more experimental, or comedic than others. well alot seem comedic. the music it really good, She is very good at the technics of the music she creates. I found this whole album pretty darn wierd, to say the least. Although i haven't heard many explicit female singers, and mean explicit in the most raw sense of the word, not really swearing, explicit. :) I found this cd a good wake up call to the different music much people are missing out on. I reccommend anyone to buy this just to experiment in a different genre.
