A dope CD from an underground Star To Be!.......2004-07-22

If you are looking for a high quality album from an artist who has great things coming, you really want to look into APPROACH.
I first heard of him at a Hieroglyphics gig, he was opening for them. Before the show he was sittin there, selling his CDs and a shirt. I got to meet him, we chatted a lil, and i got the album, along with his signature. He also introduced me to TaJai from Hiero, but that's another story.
Anyway, this album reflects his personality in every way: It's fun, fresh, and a welcome change to overplayed commercial rap.
Tracks like "Say Anything" and "Funk Reaction" prove to me that there is hope for real rap to survive, and exist along with(or maybe even superior to) Eminem, Snoop and that untalented group of G UNIT.

If there is one thing that slightly disturbs me about this album (and this is really the only thing), it's that some tracks sometimes seem repedative. Other than that - Awesome piece.
Check out this CD - it will rock you, and show you a completely different side to music.

So, I have been hearing about this album for some months now, as I live in the same town as Approach ( Lawrence, KS ) and I have seen the live show a dozen times. I have seen it a dozen times because I always have a great time, the music just makes you feel good and I was curious to see how that would translate on disc. Well, the recorded versions are just as good. I can safely say it will become a summer staple in my collection. Its a broad mix of funk and soul and youth and hip hop..and it seriously makes you wanna shake your booty! I seriously hope that this album reaches a lot of peoples' hands. Go ahead buy it...you know you want to, I mean, hey at 10$, what do you have to lose anyway??
