I Feel It..........2004-11-18

In 1993 Madonna released the Final single from her album EROTICA, Rain. Rain is proably one of Madonna's most powerful ballads and best! Madonna and Shep Pettibone composed a true masterpiece here.
This maxi is defintley a good one! The only version that is better than this one is the German Version, only because it has the Video version of Fever.

The Tracks Here are really good!
1. Rain (Radio Remix): This version is much more tame than the album, they take out some instruments. Then in the middle of the song where Madonna starts talking: "Waiting is the hardest thing..." the secondary vocals are removed. I prefer the album version to this one.
2. Waiting (Remix): An exclusive to the U.S. single and Jappanese/Australian EP. This version is a bit more Kinky than the orginal. The lyrics are the same, but the vocals were completly re-done. This version also features a rap from Everlast. I like the album version the best.
3. Up Down Suite: This song is not that good. It is nothing but a 12 minute dub of Madonna's song "Goodbye To Innocnce", included on JUST SAY ROE. There are basically no Vocals on this song, except for some words from the first verse of "...Innocence", which you can't understand and Madonna singing "Up Down,Down Down, Up, UP..."
4. Rain (Album Version): There isn't much to say about this one, other than, this is the best version that we all know and love!

Rain EP.......2002-06-20

this is more of an EP than a mxi-single
1. Rain/Radio Mix: this is a much tamer version, and, somehow takes away the power of the original. It's not bad, but it's not better than the original.
2. Waitin/Remix: i like this mix although i usually hate hip hop music. i think she actually redid some of the vocals on this mix
3. Up Down Suite: this is an extended dub of a song called "Goodbye To Innocence", which can be found on the compilation "Just Say Roe". Goodbye To Innocence is much better than up down suite so go check that one out.
4.Rain/LP: of course, the origingal. very good

Some facts regarding Rain.......2001-09-08

There are two remixes of "Rain" on the European version of this release, "Remix Edit" and "Radio Remix". The latter is the one available here.
The remix of "Waiting" is fun, but not more.
"Up-Down Suite" is the most intrersting song on this single.
It's like a really extended dub version of the Madonnasong "Goodbye To Innocence" (available on "Just Say Roe") and features the first verse from "Goodbye", but heavily twisted vocals, so you can't really hear what she's saying.

But only my parents have that acclaim
I took it from there)
The videoremix of Fever is only available on the European version.

Bring an umbrella?.......2000-05-27

This maxi-single consists of four tracks: First is the Radio Remix of "Rain." Keeping in mind this is the only commercially availible remix of this great song (that I know of), it isn't half bad. It's nothing great and you'll probably only listen to it once in awhile. Next is a remix of the "Waiting," off the Erotica album as "Rain" is. It's a vastly superior version of the song, the original having been overproduced as much of Erotica was. The lyrics are all the same but the vocals are all completely redone and are superior to the original's. It features a decent and appropriate rap by Everlast, a member of House of Pain at the time this was recorded, and now solo and of "What's It's Like" fame. The third track is a B-side, "Up Down Suite." It's a decent club song, weighs in at over 12 minutes, and is mainly instrumental. The only vocals are a dialog at the beginning with a trippy effect applied and a sample of Madonna chanting "Up, down, up, down." The beat is reminiscent of "Fever" (and is probably borrowed from it) and has a saxophone sample trilling over it. On MTV years ago they played this in a rockumentary about Madonna; The only differance was the version they used had actual lyrics... this one doesn't however, as I said. The final track is the album version of "Rain" that we all know and love.

Madonna's Erotic Masterpiece...........1998-12-13

This is Madonna's last single released from her 1992 album EROTICA. An miraculous ballad full of emotion and pain, Rain trully has been considered by music critics as the highlight from an already brilliant album. But Rain goes deeper than that, after one listen, you'll want to hear it again and again, to listen to Shepp Pettibone's meticulous production, and also to some of the best harmonizing ever heard on a Madonna song. Rain is what the thunder brings, and it will bring you to tears....

The best thing from Orbital in recent years!.......1999-11-10

Nothing Left surely must be the best thing Orbital have produced since The Box. I was absolutely blown away the first time I heard it. As soon as it starts you just know that Orbital have made another incredible choon. It really is brilliant - I never get bored of it! If you like Orbital or brilliant music you'll love this. Okay, so you might aswell forget about the other 2 tracks (although the Schizoid Man remix is "interesting"). But it is worth it for Nothing Left alone. You will not be dissapointed...

Glimmers 12" rocks!.......2005-11-15

The Glimmers 12" version is the perfect song for me. It's a great dance song while still retaining the rock theme of the original version. I've played this song more than 600 times and it still brightens up my mood. I also have the U.S. Maxi-CD of Krafty but this release sounds a little better IMO.

Gimme one more chance!.......2005-06-11

Another maxi single with a typical New Order mark on it. Very interesting dance mixes and some new interpretations on the single. Buy it now!

Missing something.......2005-03-24

I can hardly distinguish between the mixes, save for the length of each. I was hoping for a mix you actually could dance to ....hopefully Krafty Pt. 1 is has a bit more variety. If I had to choose a favorite, I would say the Phones Reality mix is the best choice. And of course, the video is great.

Great as always!.......2004-07-17

I love the Distillers, absolutly love them! And this CD proves why. The Hunger is fantastic, you can hear Brody's voice with its raw emotion all the way through and at the screaming intervals its just as great expressing exactly what emotions are being felt. The other 2 songs on them are also fantastic but a little more upbeat, all in all, this CD is great!
