one of Taucher's greatest.......2004-07-18

This is by far my favorite trance album, let alone, my favorite Taucher Album. (especially disc 2-low tide) It has a mystical quality to it. When I listen to it, I feel like I'm on a journey floating in a deep abyss. It has a great flowing quality to it. I like low tide because it doesn't have the hard core beats. If that's what you're in to, this probably isn't the album for you. You'd be better off trying the Clubbers Guide to Germany. It has a disc by Taucher, which is very good. If you like the sort of "Opera Trance" sound, low tide has an awesome version of Pictures of a Gallery which has a great beat and a great opera quality. On the first disc, the same titled song is amazing! I really like the song Bizarre, but not the version on this disc. It starts to get on my nerves near the end. I would recommend the version on Trance Allstars Worldwide. It's a far better version. In all, this is an amazing two disc set. Low tide has a sort of depressing quality to it, making it perfect for a rainy day. The journey that High Tide Low Tide puts you through, is well worth it!

I Enjoyed This CD!.......2002-12-06

I actually enjoy listening to this CD. I agree with
'busch' on the fact that gone are the trademark sounds of Taucher
and that Return to Atlantis is better CD than this and Taucher was the artist who's responsible for me getting hooked to Trance.
Poin in case - Taucher's "Infinity". What a marvellous track!

But this the 21st century Taucher. Things have changed in the world of Trance music. Artists/ DJs evolve. So did Taucher, IMO. On the 1st CD, I don't like the 1st two trax and
the track "Bizarre". Rest I like'em.

On the 2nd CD, I like pretty much all the trax. The chill out CD kinda balances the whole album. Thus the name -'High Tide Low Tide'.

No doubt, Taucher could have done a better job with this
album but I ain't disappointed w/ the final result. I just wonder how this album do (sales/ popularity wise)'cause I'm afraid many fans in Europe that I chat w/ in Trance forums said somewhat similar things like what 'busch' wrote!

What Happened????.......2002-01-15

What the hell happened? Believe it or not, but Taucher was the first artist to get me hooked on Trance. Return to Atlantis (CD 2) features some of the most beatifully composed Trance I have ever heard. I was expecting great things from High Tide ,Low Tide. What a huge dissapointment. Gone are the hypotnotic eurphoric rhythems that DJ Taucher is trademark for. The first CD is nothing but europop garbage. Some of the tracks sounded so outdated like they were recorded in the early 90's. The second CD features a varity of chillout tracks that are barely mediocre. Taucher should have kept the CD in Europe and not bothered releasing it in the U.S. Hide Tide, Low Tide serves as a very bad example of what I think Taucher is truely capable of. Maybe on the next CD.
