it good, ever since i first heard Angel (Truth album) 5 years ago I was amazed by his taleted unique voice. Even though I have never heard him on the radio but on a mix tracks w/ other dance artist thank gawd. This album is a mix of dance, pop, soft, etc.

Another great Job by Joee.......2003-01-25

Listeners to the newest installment of Joee albums will NOT be dissapointed with the display and musical ingenuity involved with his junior album. Many who have listened Joee evolve from the days of Intonation (Metropolitan Records) (Died in your Arms, Nothing to You, etc) to his sophomore album (Truth) (the now defunct Popular Records) to the recent self entitled disc, see a transformation that shows how Joee has evolved and made transitions from a freestyle artist to a pop orientated artist without losing his roots as a dance artist. This album is a more personal approach to his style of music which allows for an empathetic audience to relate, absorb, and most importantly, relate to the topics involved with each line of lyric. The top notch production of this album makes it one of the biggest "sleeper" records of 2002. Joee, get a new record label, at least one that will promote and support you! Joees seems to be a star, destined for greatness, but trapped behind the bureaucratic BS that dictates the music indusry...

The Long Wait is Over.......2002-05-22

After waiting over two years for his third album, I was not disappointed. Joee not only exceeded his previous success by creating more organic sounds than simply synthezised ones, but the writing was also much more heartfelt than previous albums. The 28-year-old pop star from Toronto wrote or co-wrote nine of the eleven tracks, but also co-produced, arranged and played the piano/keyboard tracks on the entire album. While Joee is shamelessly "pop" in his sound, he takes his music seriously. When faced with those who deride pop music for its apparent simplicity, he challenges them to write a successful pop tune--something easier said than done. My favourite tracks on the album include "I Don't Believe You," for the emotion-packed dance energy, "Does That Make You Happy?," the acoustic "Angel [Reprise]," and I am still fond of the track "Arriba" three years after it's first release as a single, for it's fun sound. And even with all that talent, Joee is absolutely gorgeous, which only makes the package all that much sweeter.

Joee DiSimone sings on this track, don't confuse it with Intonation, which is the producer of the track. It's got a positive vibe to it and is still really big in clubs up here in Canada (Joee is from Toronto...well Maple...)but this is a really good song.

Not as good as when Joee was singing for Intonation.......2002-10-06

The songs on this CD weren't as good as the ones on Joee's other CD "Intonation Truth." Overall, I give this CD 3 stars just for the song called "Angel."

You want dance? You got it........2000-10-18

Most CD's will have one or two good songs and the rest of the album is usually pretty bad. Luckily, Joee is steering clear of that. In the last couple of years, the Toronto native has put out some really good songs that were always played on radio stations, and eventually, each were put as a single, but sold nevertheless. With Truth, he basically gathered the best of his DANCE songs of the last couple of years. I say DANCE songs because Joee used to be HUGE in the Freestyle genre. But once he realized that there wasn't much of a market in freestyle, it didn't take much time before he jumped to Euro and Pop-Dance. He's made his prescence within the mainstream dance scene with his single, 'Arriba,' and now he is slowly shifting to "light Trance" with his new hit, 'I Don't Believe You (Club Mix).' Although some of his songs have made some pretty high waves, none have been as big as "Angel" (Original, Club Mix, and Euromix Versions)." At the time, it was the biggest song especially here because Joee wrote that song in memory of his younger cousin who died at the age of 17 in a car crash. It was after this song that more and more people caught onto Joee. Other hits on Truth that were also put on popular compilations include 'Feel It In The Air,' 'If I Could,' 'Do You Right,' and 'Almost Suicide.' His lyrics are simple, but that's what makes his songs fun to listen to. A great voice with catchy beats are too much to resist!

Definitely recommended.

Positive energy disk with great grooves. The track "Angel" is the best. Hopefully Joee will catch on in the states soon.

Hey! This cd is the best! You can dance with it, drive with it, sleep with it,...... I know Joee has so much to offer the music industry! Not only does he sing the songs you hear on his album, but he also writes them. And don't think I mean just the lyrics! No guys, he does it all! WOW, huh! You don't see that much anymore, do ya! With each and every song he does, it keeps getting better and better. Ya he did amazing with the "dance songs" he did a couple years ago, but his new style is happening for him, not to mention happening for me! I am sure we will continue hearing great hits from JOEE and I can not wait until this guy shows the entire world what he's got!

JOEE TRUTH (Popular) The best made-in-Canada dance record of the last 10 years? I think so! First well known for his club-happy remake of "Died In My Arms Tonight", singer/songwriter/producer Joee is one of Canada's (and the music industry's!) best kept secrets. The entire record is extremely well produced. Standout tracks include the very funky "Sweet Divine", the mid-tempo R&B pop of "Backdoor", and the seamless "Don't Let Me Down" which might have made even a singer like Luther proud. If you passed this one by upon its original release, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy . . . and buy one for that special someone!

I dare you not to feel great after listening to this song!.......2000-09-03

I was hooked on "Arriba" from the first time I heard it in my aerobics class! This is one of those songs that makes you feel good, no matter how down in the dumps you are! The Latin flavor makes you want to get up and dance. I plan on keeping this in my car so I can play it whenever I'm stuck in traffic. It will surely make my drive much faster! Great beat, great sound, great fun!

i understand that joee hails from canada~~~ but don't let that fool you ! this disc has hot latin rythums and a great melody too ! equaly dance~able and sing~able too ! and i might add how great to hear a song without violence and guns and such! just get it , go and dance your aha! off! this is great! and i love it too !~~~play it over and over again! love ya sergio!
